Has anyone heard if they are changing structures of reserve leagues? Had heard there was talk of Senior A/B, Inter A/B, Junior A/B, basically East and West leagues at each level. Has this been passed or confirmed?

With U'20s to be wrapped up in March should leave for a better league schedule this coming year, here's hoping.

I expect most club footballers have the ambition to play senior football, I can't think of too many who take the easy way out and do it by transferring clubs! Sounds like the man in question is very much about himself, BG_Gael.

Very fair comment. I was only going on the original clogher poster who said it was a transfer that didn't work out.

If my memory serves right Augher were an intermediate team when Darragh joined? So I don't think he went directly to playing Division 1 football from Division 3. Easy way or not isnt my point though. The clogher poster has said it hasn't worked out, but clearly it has and they just are bitter or have sour grapes with it.

I wonder how bitter they are about players who have transferred the other way and would they say their transfers have worked out?

He left to join Augher directly after they won their play offs to go up to senior. Yes he did play a few years of senior football and a few in intermediate, with no medals to show for it. The Clogher players have a junior league medal to look back on and I am sure most would agree it's a much greater achievement to win a junior league with your club than jumping ship to play a higher level of football and winning a few individual awards along the way. With regards to calling it a failed transfer, this year Clogher finished higher in intermediate league, beat Augher and he has won no medals with his club(s), most certainly wouldn't call it a success story anyway.

4. In good faith and acknowledgement of all the members of our clubs and immediate families that the 2019 Tyrone GAA County Convention registers its support to amend the Club Tyrone Charity Constitution to provide financial contributions not just exclusively to Tyrone GAA but to include the Tyrone Handball, Tyrone LGFA and Tyrone Camogie associations. 5. That the decision by Tyrone GAA Finance and CCC is re-visited to admit any Patron Under 16 Years old free of charge to our games to fully support the promotion of our games, with the possible exception of the senior football final on account of seating arrangements. 6. Tyrone CCC should create and distribute two league fixture plans at beginning of year in order to allow clubs and players to make plans for family life and fundraising events. Plan A should include the scenario of Tyrone County team only competing in
2 games in the senior football championship. Plan B should include the scenario of Tyrone County team progressing further in the senior football championship including the super 8s. (Cumann Naomh Mhic Artáin, an Eochair)

7. A complete and transparent review of the assignation of 'Starred Games" should take place. All starred games to be played during the summer months prior to Tyrone's exit from the All Ireland series. (Cumann Naomh Pádraig, an Goirtín)

8. All league games be completed before championship starts. (Cumann na Fianna, Oileán a'Ghuail)

9. There should be a minimum of 6 days before the replay of a drawn Championship fixture - Clubs should not have to play 3 championship fixtures in 8 days. (Cumann Naomh Pádraig, an Goirtín)

10. That in the Event of a Drawn Championship match Tyrone Competition Controls Committee Regulations for Adult Football and Hurling be amended to allow a minimum of 5 days between the Drawn Match and the Replay. (Cumann Naomh Pádraig, an Caislean Glas)

11. Get rid of top four play-offs and relegation/promotion playoffs. (Cumann na Fianna, Oileán a'Ghuail)

12. That the 2019 Tyrone GAA County Convention registers its support to amend the Tyrone CCC Regulations to organise a new competition for Reserves under new branding, Junior A, Junior B and Junior C. Games to be played on a regional and home and away basis. Grading's not linked to senior team ranking. This will allow a regular programme of games for the clubs second team to further player development. Clubs to forward a list of 10 senior players who won't be eligible to play in this new competition. (Cumann an Athar Mhic Con Carraige, an Chorr Chríochach)

13. The Reserve Football Championship to be played on the weekend of Tyrone's participation in the Ulster Football Championship or the All Ireland Football Championship and played to its conclusion. If a suitable date is available players eligible to participate are those that did not feature in the last game of the previous year's championship and any player who is a member of the senior county football panel. 14. Tyrone CCC implements a decoupling of the reserve football leagues from senior within the County to allow players a full and meaningful season. (Cumann Naomh Pádraig, an Goirtín)

15. That no Tyrone club football is fixed on the day/evening of the All-Ireland football final. (Cumann an Phiarsaigh, Gallbhaile)

16. That at Under-age level in Tyrone we continue with age levels as U14, U16, U18 and above that U20.That this Motion is also forwarded to National level for succeeding years. (Cumann Naomh Pádraig, an Caisleán Glas).

There will still be issues but the fixtures should be less of a problem next year. As Tyrone aren't in the preliminary round in ulster next year, there is 7 weekends between the last round of NFL (assuming Tyrone don't make the final) and the first round game v Donegal. That should allow 6 league fixtures to be played.

If Tyrone lose that and enter the qualifiers there potentially wont be another Tyrone game until near the end of June allowing 3 more games to be played. Even if they win I think there is still another 1 or 2 slots in between county games to get matches played. There also isn't any u20 county matches during the summer next year so the majority of starred games can be saved for then.

If all goes to plan and fixtures done properly most if not all of the regular league games should be wrapped up pre championship next year. If Tyrone lose to Donegal in ulster there definitely won't be any excuses for them not to be.

With all this considered and a master fixture schedule released from the GAA with all weekends/dates known should it not be possible for our county board to do the same? Release a fixture planner, obviously, there would need to be different versions with possible outcomes but surely some sense of when games are going to be played is better than none for the club players.

Tyrone county master fixtures planner could look like:
A) Tyrone beaten in the first round of Ulster knocked out in super 8's or beaten in All-Ireland semi. 
B) Ulster champions knocked out in super 8's or beaten in All-Ireland semi.
C) Tyrone beaten in first round of Ulster, All-Ireland finalists.
D) Ulster champions, All-Ireland finalist.

4 different schedules are obviously a lot of work, but most weekends will overlap with only some tweaking involved. All Ireland semi-final is usually a week after super 8's so no need for different plans in place there.

Excellent article, it just goes to show you never know what goes on with lads. You see fellas lambasting players on here with no regards to what is going on behind the scenes, particularly with regards boys walking away from squads, at that stage in someones life football just might not be for them. - on that note for some boys football and team environment can be an escape.

Anyway, brilliant article on Ronan, complete honesty and you can see what a genuine fella he is with respect for those around him, particularly his Mother and Father. Hopefully reading his story can be a light at the end of the tunnel for someone reading.

Maybe a case of what goes around comes around for Augher. I heard they refused to change their derby with Clogher, their request was to play it at any other time that didn't clash with the full round of fixtures, later in the evening or Friday night. So I suppose how do you expect to be accommodated when you have refused to be accommodating previously yourself.

At the top: Galbally at home to Cookstown, a defeat for Fr. Rocks will see them in relegation play offs, can't see anything other than a Galbally win here.
Beragh v Lough, if Lough were told at the start of the year they need a win v Beragh on last day to secure senior football next year they would have took it, I am sure there must be some nerves in the camp this week and Beragh would love to spoil the party, expecting Lough win.
Pomeroy v Greencastle on Saturday afternoon, Pomeroy win here to move into second place and leave the pressure on for Lough the next day.

At the bottom: Urney are already gone and seem to have thrown the towel in.
Newton playing Moortown, possibly in Garvaghy mid week or Friday? Correct me if I am wrong here, but both Strabane and Stewartstown have both beated Newton so even if Newton are level on 10 points with either of them they are in relegation play off anyway based on head to head?
Strabane v Augher, last few weeks would suggest that Augher have no interest in play offs, very strange considering a few weeks back they were in a position to play Clogher again in play offs, maybe they didn't fancy that possibility. Strabane will likely pick up easy points here.
Owen Roes v Stewartstown, Owen Roes win here leaving Stewartstown possibly level with Newton, although they won the head to head which should see them safe?

In the middle:
Owen Roes and Clogher guaranteed to play each other in play offs with what looks like no other team looking to fill the final spot? Possible teams to take it are Augher, Greencastle, Gortin, Moortown and Beragh, with all possibly going to get beat it would leave Augher staying in 6th place with an away trip to Pomeroy or Loughmacrory.

There is the the very very outside possibility of four teams finishing on 10 points would leave a tricky situation.

Overall I  am going for, Gallbally winners, Lough runners up, Pomeroy v Augher, Clogher v Owen Roes, Newton v Cookstown.

Lads, Tyrone poster here. Just wondering how many attended your county final? Seen some highlights and it looked a huge crowd.

Couldn't understand this myself, both strips very similar. Surely county board should have this considered before hand with one team switching.

What about Harry Og Conlon- he didn't feature for Edendork in any of their championship games.
Is he injured? He was in around County panels at one stage

Harry Og is teaching in the Middle East, Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Mark is teaching in Scotland, although he has traveled home in other years, not sure why this has changed this year. Would have made a huge difference to Edendork had they Niall Morgan available out the field.

Does anyone know has Jonny Davis been ratified yet? If so, will he be working exclusively along with senior squad or in a role that involves working with academy/minors/u20s?

With regards to Madden, was there other candidates? Was he approached or any idea where the link is? I cant phantom why or how Mickey Harte could brain storm and think, yes this is him this is the guy I want.

Eskra v Rock and Carmen v Edendork on the TV this weekend. Doubtful that Loughmacrory or Carmen are going to have the WiFi service available to cover the other games.

Does anyone have official fixtures and venues for the weekend? Find it strange that in Tyrone we are going to replays and Monday night games, making teams play 3 times in 8 days (Gortin) when in Monaghan they are going to extra time and penalties. Not a good system either to get beaten on penalties, but surely extra time could have been played in these drawn games? Lough & Pomeroy probably looking at Thursday & Monday? Eoghan Ruadh pitch on Thursday night a possible venue, looked brilliant condition and a good buzz for last Thursdays replay.

Killyclogher looked jammed yesterday, Galbally rampant again and Pomeroy are surely glad to have used their get out of jail card.

A big week/weekend of football ahead, Carrickmore on Sunday evening should be fantastic. 

Greencastle have turned a corner after a slow start to the season and have had some very impressive results recently. However, as stated playing John Pat & Chrissy Gillen a few days before they went back to Oz, ahead of the lads who have been around all year is worrying. One thing that Clogher will want is openness, if they can bring it to a shoot out they will fancy their chances, after Galbally they are the second top scorers in the top two divisions.
Think Clogher will get over the line in a high scoring encounter. Either way should make for a good curtain raiser.

In the second game I think Trillick should have too much, with Richy available this year and having had Lee around all summer they will really fancy their chances at a championship run. Yes Dromore have a excellent u21 team coming through but I feel a few defeats in a few big recent league games may be casting a shadow of doubt into their heads already.
