I assume that the billboard has been photo-shopped. What did it say originally?

Does anyone know what the story is with Setanta and coverage of this years championship? They usually show whatever RTE have coverage off, but this year there has been none so far. Have they lost/gave up the rights does anyone know?

Setanta UK are showing Armagh-Tyrone and Tipp-Cork live on Sunday. They generally don't sart doing live matches until the soccer season is over.

no seemly they can revisit the incident if the ref admits he made a mistake and did not deal with it properly at the time

mostly this rule only applies to northern teams

Any Jacks know where the pitch is I'm gonna pop along..

It's being played in St. Mary's in Saggart

Here's a link to the map on the St. Marys club webpage...looks like a handy run in on the Naas Road. Enjoy!!

nice idea but Giants stadium and soldier field pitch sizes are way too small i think. NFL pitches are a good bit shorter than GAA piches. thought it might be a good idea to do in england but yo'd have the same problem

The field size is a major problem, especially the width. American football pitches are very narrow compared to ours and most of the newer stadia don't leave much room around the sidelines. A baseball stadium would have more room for the pitch and be a more realistic capacity 40-50k.

Click on the submit an ESTA application

I filled it in no problem in December and travelled the weekend after Christmas. US immigration didn't care about it, all they wanted was the old green form.

I'm sure thaey want it now as it's after the Jan 12th deadline

It was in an e-mail I got a while back about the season tickets, there was a promotional code in there somewhere. I might be wrong though, I only read the mail once. I'll double-check and get back to you.

You're correct. But i think it only mentioned the Elvery's GAA shop not www.thegaastore.com. And it was 15% off purchases over 65euro.

Anyone know if Ross McConnell is a full back or a midfielder in this panel? Likewise Dave Henry - a back or a forward?

I guess Henry will be wing forwrd, Ross will be a midfielder behind Ryan & Whelan. Will be interesting to see what the fullback line is...there's even rumours of Bastic playing FB!!

I think I'd hit the net against us on the 31st in fairness. Could be in for a right trimming. No Alan Brogan either, he's out injured. Puts the tin lid on it for me.

Here's the panel

Alan Brogan, Fennell, Kelly, Bonner, Andrews carrying injuries, all Kilmacud Crokes players not available.

DUBLIN (Senior football squad for National Football League): Paddy Andrews (St Brigid's), Denis Bastick (Templeogue Synge St), Kevin Bonner (St Brigid's), Seán Breheny (St Jude's), Gerard Brennan (St Vincent's), Bernard Brogan (St Oliver Plunkett's/ER), James Brogan (St Oliver Plunkett's/ER), Barry Cahill (St Brigid's), Paul Casey (Lucan Sarsfields), Stephen Cluxton (Parnells), Paul Conlon (St Vincent's), Diarmuid Connolly (St Vincent's), Bryan Cullen (Skerries Harps), Colin Daly (Skerries Harps), Tiernan Diamond (St Vincent's), Enda Dolan (Ballymun Kickhams), Eamon Fennell (O'Toole's), Paul Flynn (Fingallians), Hugh Gill (St Vincent's), David Henry (Raheny), Alan Hubbard (Ballymun Kickhams), Conal Keaney (Ballyboden St Enda's), Declan Lally (St Brigid's), Ross McConnell (St Oliver Plunkett's/ER), Thomas McGrath (Fingal Ravens), Brendan McManamon (St Jude's), David Mooney (O'Toole's), Colin Moran (Ballyboden St Enda's), Derek Murray (Round Tower's, Clondalkin), Rory O'Connor (St Oliver Plunkett's/ER), Stephen O'Shaughnessy (Lucan Sarsfields), Tomás Quinn (St Vincent's), Donal Ryan (Raheny), Shane Ryan (Nh Mearnóg), Michael Savage (St Vincent's), Jason Sherlock (St Oliver Plunkett's/ER), Seamus Walsh (St Mary's, Saggart), Ciarán Whelan (Raheny).

Hmm.. so you get charged whehter you go or not yet only "dedicated supporters who have made good use of the ticket will be guaranteed entry"..........  explain?

If you don't go to all (or most) of the games then don't buy one.

Entry to League games and your first championship game is included in the 75 euro.

After that you have the right to buy a ticket for each of your county's championship matches up to an All-Ireland semi-final.

If you have attended 60% of your county's games you will then be gaurenteed the right to buy an All-Ireland ticket if your county gets that far.

Seems straightforward to me. Won't suit everybody but it's a major step in the right direction.

If it goes well, they need to consider adding a family version.

Dealeny is some job knockey.

The way they are going the only way they will fill Landsdowne, other than the opening match, is for the rugby, or is they get a Leinster football final in there.

Can't happen, pitch is too small for GAA

There is only one Ferry to Liverpool from Dublin. If I recall correctly it is a slow Ferry, mostly aimed at trucks, but it does take normal foot passangers. The problem is it is very slow and takes something like 8 hours to cross the sea. Holyhead isn't an enormous distance from Liverpool. I have family in liverpool and they always come from Holyhead into Dublin.

Train from Holyhead to Liverpool (change at Chester) takes up to 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the connection

surely if they love them so much they'd want money they spent on club merchandise to go back to the club, not towards keeping a sweatshop somewhere...  ???

Or funding the Taliban.
