Quote from: LC on July 15, 2024, 08:43:28 PMAbsolute scum of the earth these people, suffice to say not to many of them will be getting out of their beds in the morning to go and do a days work.  Ironically these people are from what would be classed as working class (in reality work shy) areas.

Whilst I'm confident there's some truth in some of what you say .... I'll bet many would be just a little bit more empathetic if you had a scenario say if 50 young immigrants were placed in 'temporary' accommodation in your community .... I expect there'd be a lot of people on tilt about the place. You don't need to be racist to understand how hormones work or consider that there's suddenly a few more people in your community who have 'no skin in the game' and you might need to mindful of that.
I can't speak for anywhere else but near where I live in Lurgan there's a quare amount more than 50 young immigrants in the vicinity of my community. Take a spin down Victoria Street or Albert St and you'll see them outside their terrace houses gathered with their friends/relatives or dismantling their BMWs or Audis. You'd be mistaken for thinking you were in Bucharest at times.

Granted they weren't all bussed in at once but like the Polish, Latvian, Russian and Lithuanian immigrants that have moved to Ireland in the past 20 years, they'll integrate, send their kids to nearby schools and GAA clubs and assimilate into their surroundings.

Any serious crime,  anti social behaviour including sectarianism of note in the past number of years has been perpetrated by natives, including 3 violent murders which come to mind.

Mostly decent skins unlike the Romanian and Bulgarian scum who haven't done a days work from they got here and are dealing drugs. (Not all of them obviously but a fair few)

You know when I was a young lad living just south of the border in Cavan, this time of year the place would be thronged with Northerners coming south to escape the 12th. Much bigger crowds than these days. I do recall a local or two refer to them as bloody Nordies, coming down here and all they want to do is get pissed and start fights. Now the same locals didnt seem to notice there were plenty of buckos in our town well able to get pissed and start fights before a "Nordie" set foot in the place. But anyway.

It was for the ref's, you'd be pretty pissed off if peter turned up to ref your game
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Congrats to Peter anyway, he had a 1:10 chance of those tickets and lady luck sure did smile.

 ;D
The most referee thing ever.
Being a **** for the world to see and not even trying to hide it  ;D

Surely that lad couldn't be a referee?
He would certainly get a few senior championship matches in Armagh.
