Galway Senior Hurling Championship Final
Loughrea v Clarinbridge   live

Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship Final
Thurles Sarsfields v Clonoulty Rossmore   delayed coverage

That's a joke to be honest.  The current AI club champions playing against the most successful club of recent years are playing.  You could be paranoid about the scheduling if you were from Ulster!

Looks like there has been a slight change of plan!

Who says the journos don't read this???  I wonder if the brother of a certain poster got a phonecall and got a "long kick" up the arse? ;)

Just so it looks right.
Galway Hurling Final whacked.

In fairness to TG4, there is generally a bias shown towards county finals over early round provincial games. Being honest, you'd have thought that Portlaoise vs Moorefield was a better prospect for a game than the Mayo County final too, but they went with the decider match - that's just their tendency.

As for the Anti Ulster thing, the reason is that the county finals up north tended to be finished a lot earlier. Most counties have their championship done and dusted for a month now. That's a great tribute to the management of fixtures up North, but it also explains why appealing finals in places like Derry and Antrim didn't get covered.

Good news that the st galls game is being shown across the country, well done tg4.

What time is throw in? 3.30?

Derry senior final between Coleraine and Ballinderry was a thriller which you would have thought as a certain guarantee of live coverage.

Not many would have predicted that before the start though. It's all very well saying that in hindsight, but most people would have expected Ballinderry to win with five or six to spare.

not on the derry thread they didn't - B'derry were favs based on name only - but that's neither here nor there.  You have a point, but there's always been a bias against Ulster games, this is the first Ulster game to be shown live since the 2008 final I think.  Before that it was very possibly the 2005 final, although there was a Tyrone final shown in between.  I could be a wee bit wrong about that, but I can't mind any others.

Hoof Hearted

never mind the live coverage, there is a highlights programme on the monday night and clontibret v magheracloone from ulster is all i have seen so far. There has been everything from Louth football to Laois Hurling, no disrespect to any of the 4 teams involved.
