The target should be a minimum of 20 games but it would be unfair on County players to be involved in much more than half of that, 11 club games for them is about right. The question then becomes how do we get Club players those additional 9-10 games.

1. 12 team divisions and home and away matches with County players available for half. This would be unfair on players with a few County players so should games be weighted as in Monaghan.
2. 16 team divisions with 3-5 starred games. We then need some sort of cup competition to make up the balance.
3. 12 team divisions, 1 round of fixtures with County players available for all games. Again we need cup competitions to make up the balance.

The question for 2&3 is do players want cup competitions?
Up until the early 90's the Jim Devlin cup, St Enda's cup etc were treated with a bit of respect and there was some enthusiasm for them. At some point in the 90's that waned. To paraphrase, even the McElduffs didn't go to the McElduff cup.

Is there likely now to be an interest in local leagues played on a Friday night or a regional cup's played along the lines of Kerry's divisional teams?

King of the Parish tournament you reckon. Poor Errigal have no one to play.

Do they not count as a region in their own right?

smort

Could be an interesting preseason tournament there... Ballygawley, glencull, garvaghey, altamuskin.

Which one?

Which ever one is working in Dromore, heard he is a decent enough player albeit a little slow.

You going to fetch any players from killyman for  the weekend? Good to see Carmen back at the top end of table, championship has a real feel of the 90s again. Will you bend the knee for them like you normally do

Lough have really impressed me this year and to an extent last year as well. Should have had Dungannon away last year. We fall into the Errigal trap every year. This year will be no different.
