QuoteI noticed you left  "game of football" out of that sentence. A very apt omission

You're right. There was only one team in it (had the balls for it) that day.

Here what's this about Fermanagh getting Jack O'Connor to take your training sessions? Sure that man could never handle Tyrone in the championship. You'd be better getting Micko, or taking them yerselves.

Looking forward to hearing about St. Pedro de San José Betancur today. He rang bells.

General discussion / Forkhill on the map

I see some lass from Forkhill is about to make it big. She sings that sleepy version of Let's Dance by David Bowie in the Ballygowan advert. Heard on the radio that it was only a mess-about but fell into the hands of Ballygowan. Now she's releasing it as a single.

This is all down to the good work of Datsun Donaghy who seems to have inspired a generation of songsters in that area with his ode to Aidan O'Rourke to the tune of She's Beautiful

....and I saw his face
In the Forkhill Mace

Anyway, Paula Flynn I think you call her - misspaulaflynn on myspace.

I think Colm Cavanagh might hit the big time this year....but may start the season as a sub. I think Mickey would've played Mulligan in McGuigan's role, especially if O'Neill was fit. Now with Mulligan out, CHF may go the way of Mulgrew with Penrose missing out. Wouldn't be surprised to see Niall Gormley making his championship debut from the start.

Defensively we're mostly agreed with possibles in McGee/Carlin and McMahon/Jordan.

In terms of the forward division, my selection would be:

Dooher-Mulgrew-McGinley
Gormley-O'Neill-McCullagh

Dpending on form, my fully fit team later on would be:

Dooher-McGuigan-McGinley
Mellon-O'Neill-Mulligan.

The Fermanagh game is one that I hope we stumble through, doing just enough and not impressing. That seemed to be the secret of our success in '03 and '05!

I actually do think that'll happen. Fermanagh always give us a tough one.

Got that second edition of teamtalk. It really has to be said that the Currans have finally come up with a winner here. Innovative and relatively original in this field. No printing costs and plenty of electronic yet unobtrusive adverts. Curran may be one of the most objectionable men in the county, but he has come up trumps here.

I have a couple of cousins who don't charge that much.
