Was the stadium not sold out on Sunday?

Nearly 74,000 at it. What's its capacity?

I always thought it was close to 75k but could be wrong. It was a mate of mine who mentioned empty seats. I wonder when the last time this game was not a sell out?

It was sold out and oversubscribed. A few returns were sold on the United webpage and were snapped up quickly. The empty seats would be "supporters" who decided to stay away in the fear of getting hammered by Liverpool.

Was the highest attendance of the year, though I'm waiting on VAR for confirmation

Ah that makes sense, cheers for clearing that up

Capacity used to be 76k now less than 74k due to regulations on disabled section....

There was definitely one empty seat anyway after this guy had to leave early.

Glad to see United dealing with this correctly and swiftly. It's taken 8 years for this admission of wrongdoing......http://www.msn.com/en-ie/sport/football/carragher-apologises-to-evra-for-t-shirts-worn-in-support-of-luiz-suarez/ar-AAJ9xYD?ocid=ientp

Hopefully MUFC can now address this sort of thing also...

Hopefully they can sort the lack of good players also.. Scrap is an understatement, "sign Harry Kane" as keano says. Embarrassing when nobody wants any of the players other than Pogba and De gea

Bad comparison though. I'm pretty sure the club itself didn't hand out t-shirts with the words on them.

Anyone with half a brain would be aware of the balloons that sing or taunt supporters on those issues.

I heard it at a Liverpool game, even as a dumb ass 17 year old I knew that those supporters needed a good hiding.

There's a big difference alright in dealing with abhorrent fan actions (a problem at every club) and a club publicly backing a player convicted of racism.

That be Tyrone and Man U in your case, re: abhorrent fans.
