Well done Sligo. Have they ever won an All Ireland senior, minor, U21 semi final?

Won 1968 minor semi, 1-6 to 1-3 v Armagh before losing 3-5 to 1-10 to Cork in the final.
Sligo must have won 2 junior semi-finals as they're 2 from 2 in Junior finals v London in 1935 and v Kerry in 2010.

Good chance in the u20 semi-final this year. Cork and Kerry both pretty poor, although Cork are understrength due to injury which might change for the semi-final.

Watched the game on Friday evening, it looks a decent Galway side but as we saw at this level last year Galway were beaten by 14 points by Mayo early on and still ended up winning an All Ireland but the ease at which Galway created goal chances and just ran through Roscommon would make that level of turnaround again seem unlikely.

The Galway full forward is some size for this age group, when he gets motoring he's hard to stop but Galway have it all to do against a very fancied Mayo team on Friday; A lot of chat about them.

That's Sean Walsh from Moycullen. He's some size of a young fella alright. You get young lads who are tall but they might be skinny enough at that age until they fill out but he's already tall and built like a brick shithouse.

Think he is involved with Connacht rugby also - similar to Farthing last year.

Watched the game Friday night, Galway very wasteful in the first half and conceded the softest of goals too. Only looked like one winner halfway through the 2nd half when Mayo went 3 points ahead so did well to come back. Doesn't look like its as talented as last years team, the centre half back from Corofin has really stood out in the 3 games so far.

Surprised to see Roscommon having such comfortable win against Sligo in Markievicz Park and played most of the 2nd half with 14 men.  Niall Heneghan their top scoring forward to miss the semi final unless the red can be overturned on appeal.  A little bit surprised Mayo only won by 4 and Leitrim missed a penalty in the 1st half. In Joshua Maye,Paul Honeyman they have two good forwards be interesting to see will they make the breakthrough in the years ahead.
