Wasn't there today lads but sounds like it was a decent performance in the end and sound like ye were reasonably impressed by what you saw. Brilliant to hear the younger lads did well in the end. No doubt there's talent there. It is only the Walsh Cup and it's early in the year but it would be great to see these lads playing in Croke Park. It would do much for hurling in the county.

Just seen where the U'21's are out against Carlow on Friday evening. They'd hardly have them playing again on Sunday.

No harm sending out the U'21s as most if not all of the opposition will be of that age. It's how the competition should be used to blood some of these younger panel members to see how they fare in a competetive environment. They should be out to impress the management so a very worthwhile exercise!

There is a stand in Cretty albeit small. The softer crew among the crowd can avail of it.

I would hope that the GAA have support structures in place to speak with and counsel Dinny's team mates at both Rathineska and with Laois. This will have a big impact on the people that knew him best and they will need guidance during this difficult time.

That's terrible news to hear and so close to Christmas. It's always very sad when one so young passes away for whatever reason.

Thoughts with the family and RIP to Dinny a talented Laois GAA man.

I wonder if the fact that a prominant official from Killeen is no longer there that transfers similar to the Kingstons will not get the same support in the future. He was very prominant in Laois GAA.

Again as a small county it's nigh on impossible to replace the likes of Timmons and we have a dearth of decent backs particularly the full back line as has been stated here many times.
We will have to start to prepare though because Timmons is moving on in years and injuries aside he won't be around for a whole lot longer with the demands of the game.
CB needs to put a plan in place to develope good defensive players as all of the bright hopes in recent years have been forwards. We can have all the forwards we want but if we cannot prevent scores down the other end what is the point.
