A long trek from Jamaica to Ireland.  Time to get Jammin with the slow hand clap.

Hopefully  the  teams performances under him doesn't  lead to an Exodus from the Aviva

I'll see myself out

Finally we have a new manager. At least we didn't give it to a rookie like O'Shea.

He obviously sees the potential in this Ireland squad that Kenny failed to get the best out of.

Don't worry about a thing 'cause every little thing's goin to be alright...

Brendan

In all seriousness is he going to be Part time if he's a dentist as well? I assumed Ireland soccer manager would be a full time position

Sportacus

The Euros has been bang average but I really don't think Ireland would have got a look in if they'd been there.  So far behind.  He has his work cut out.

I've a feeling he sees greater potential in his €600k+ salary, not bad money for 18 months work.

Look-Up!

I don't know. He grew up in Iceland, managed in Jamaica. Neither a footballing stronghold.

Neither is Ireland.

He'll fit right in.

Captain Scarlet

Will they hang on to Braithwaite? Him and O'brien might work well.

Hope he pushes on and Collins improves. That's a solid pairing if they get more experience.

Big year for Ferguson too.

Lee Carsley  will be the caretaker manager  for England against Ireland

Where's that Stephen Rea/Ned Broy  meme when you  need it?

I hope he gets the welcome back to Ireland he deserves

This is moreso on players.

I see on BBC website an article on 10 young players to watch out for in the Premiership this season.

One of them is Jake O'Brien of Everton. He spent last season in France and he, obviously, must have played well.

The other one who caught my eye was Liam Delap of Ipswich. He moved from Man City for around £20m.  His da is Rory Delap an the young lad hs represented England at youth level. I wonder what's the chances of him playing for Ireland at senior level?

There's probably more young lads who are showing potential.

IF you had these two lads with Ferguson etc. Ireland could/should have a decent enough panel of young players....well, better than what they've had recently.
