The game is up. That picture has won Trump the election imo.

The Democrats can't attack Trump on morals as he has none and he just brazens it out.

I think the late rally and change of rider is too late.

Is it true that any Super Pac funds can't be switched over to a brand new candidate?
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

I think so but campaign finance law is very complicated

Quote from: Look-Up! on July 21, 2024, 08:52:25 PMDebates will be entertaining at least  :-\ . Trump can talk all night but without Biden's presidency to constantly pan, and without someone to attack, will he have anything to say that resonates or will he just come across as rambling?
If it's Harris, she doesn't come across as the sharpest knife, so I'd imagine she'll take a bit of coaching from her team. Maybe attack Trump on age, COVID during his term, his loose adherence to facts when talking could be good attack points but she'll need to talk policy too and not get flustered when confronted or start that idiotic laughing.

She's actually a decent enough debater. And as a former prosecutor, well able to make a coherent argument, especially with the fertile ground that is Trump's character and policies. That inability was one of the most damning failures of Biden during that debate last month.

However, I'd like to see the Dems open it up to the field, and if there are other candidates, have an old style open convention. If there aren't any others, then no one can complain about Harris taking the nomination.

We'll see what happens.

Is there not an issue with is it Ohio and the candidate having to be selected well before the convention in order to appear on the ballot

Yes there is.  It doesn't matter much in terms of outcome though, as Ohio is a safe Republican vote these days.

Now there's a chance the orange god-king won't return to the White House.

Brilliant news.

Yep too late. Although being a woman shouldn't matter it definitely is a bigger leap for a lot of people. Another 4 yrs of Trump probably with Vance groomed for the future.

Does it really matter? Which one will stop genocide?
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

None. Trump will of course make matters worse.

Define worse. The whole of gaza I'd uninhabitable. Joe paid for a genocide, it seems all the useless democrats have to say about it is Trump would've been worse. I hope Biden dies roaring the horrible bastard.

Can't say I get too much into the old politics, didn't back in 'the north' and don't here but has Harris not got a worse rating than Biden? (Heard 2 colleagues talk about it during lunch so no idea if true).

Coincidently where do these ratings come from?

Biden, never should stood for re-election, he was a stop gap for Trump. They should selected somebody from the younger generation to stand. America one of these places who love Retirees as Presidents. Harris been hid out view,  much of the past 4 yrs.

As someone who has lived here for a long time, I think a fair few Americans will now possibly pose the Q, who was actually running things for past four years, as it sure as hell was not JB.
In addition, a bigger Q, what if that debate had not taken place and was on its normal scheduled date, then what ??
IMO, there are a lot of democratic powerbrokers/powermongers that need be called out.
of course that will never happen.

I believe that Harris will get the Democtatic nomination and I hope she gets Senator Kelly from Arizona to share the ticket - If that ends up being the Democratic ticket then I think they will win by getting enough undecided votes for the following reasons
1. She is a black female
2. She is a sharp cookie and articulate
3. She will bring energy and relative youth to the ticket
4. He will swing Arizona, a key state
5. He has a military past and an astronaut
and most importantly of all the above, I think the black vote and the female vote will win this election
That awkward moment - Not sure if you do have free time or if you're just forgetting everything!

So they tried to wrap Joe in cotton wool and had their friendly media jump to his support.
They did this knowing he wasn't right, but have no issue with how this is might skew a democratic process.

Now,the person who they didn't trust to step in us suddenly a saviour!

There are no good guys over there. It's a bad shower v a terrible shower.

There's been a significant deterioration in recent months. To say all the top Democrat leadership knew how bad he was prior to the debate would be a big stretch. The reaction was shock at how bad he was. I think it was his post debate interviews that made the decision inevitable. I think literally every one had some blunder. He's a very different man to the one who visited Ireland recently.

I wonder will Trump avoid debating with Harris (or whoever the candidate is) the same way he avoided the other Republican candidates. I think his team will try
