General discussion / Can Mayogodhelpus count to 10?

I think it would be a tough task for him but if he made a serious attempt at it, he could be a roaring success.

General discussion / Moderators not doing their Job
March 30, 2011, 10:21:58 PM
I have applied for deletion for quite a while now and in order to speed up the process I have started two threads that directly contravene the posting charter. I have come to the conclusion that the administrators of this forum realise that I am the Eamon Dunphy of gaaboard.com. I draw in the viewers with my witty, controversial, stand up for the working man style.

I am sorry to announce my departure from Gaaboard. This is long overdue, but I want to achieve my objectives before I departed. I winded up all of the Mayo contingent which was my main aim from the start. My last objective was to wind up muppet which was successfully achieved in the last few days.

General discussion / Strange PM's
March 22, 2011, 04:02:43 PM
I have been getting rather strange PM's of late. I just noticed the latest one today even though it was sent a few days ago. The first one was from a guy called Sligonian. I cant ever remember interacting with him/her before.

"PSTG im not sure im confortable with you starting threads like mayo murder one, considering the war of words youve waged on the mayolads and vice versa tbh...maybe you should let others start threads like this to do with mayo, free world and all but maybe you should let these issues go..as you know this could descend into madness, and with the grammar stuff already you know the mayolads are waiting and wanting to bite. Thats all im going to say."

The second one was from a Mayo guy called Farrandeelin. ironically at the same time he published a thread asking for me to be banned.

"Hi pstg. You certainly are making us Mayo people looking ignorant. You can tell me to sod off (which you probably will) but it's not going to work. You're so foolish to believe the 6 counties are British!!  So if the 6 counties are British, when did Mayo become Irish? Oh yes that's right, since the beginning of  time, just like the occupied 6 counties. PS, if you and your blueshirt friend mayogodhelpus continuing spouting this load of shite with regards the 6 counties, then we're well and truly fucked when Enda Kenny becomes leader."

Anyone else receive strange pm's of late?

Any sign of Gerry Adams releasing a statement of the current military activity in Libya. Sinn Fein/IRA are good friends with Col. Gaddafi but it is all quite from them. Are they on the ground already? or has their MI5 handlers curtailed them?

Good auld Mayo. Factual report from Marie Louise O'Donnell on Inda Kinny's home coming to Castlebar.

I knew I was in the West because I got a seat up on the balcony looking down on the sea of people you had that kind of whiff of human haze of the West of Ireland.

The smell of turf and porridge and tweed and prayer and the clothes and the jackets and the huge mass of people.

And a kind of hue of them like you would get at a big country Mass, all standing around ready for Enda to come in.

And you know you're in the West as well, they have great wonderful wide faces, sparkly eyes and thick wiry hair and kind of big ears, bright dancing eyes and great Mayo tones and great manners and great strength.

Would you look at the cut of them. Your man with the bouquet of flowers for Inda is very cute.

This is a very sad case in Castlebar with the son charged with killing his murder. You have to wonder what is going through the heads of them. Its not the first time of course there is history of this in Castlebar. For what ever reason it happened I hope they get the help they need.

His solicitor has asked for a psychiatric evaluation for his client.
The body of Noreen Kelly-Eadon was discovered by her other son in the early hours of Wednesday morning at her home in Derrynacrieve, Islandeady, near Castlebar.

General discussion / Hannah Montanna destroyed my family

http://www.celebrity-gossip.net/billy-ray-cyrus/billy-ray-cyrus-hannah-montana-destroyed-my-family-475402

He's had quite the rollercoaster ride with fame and family, and now Billy Ray Cyrus is telling all to GQ magazine.

In the March issue, the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer talks about the fact that he hasn't been making money off of his daughter Miley. "I'm proud to say to this day I've never made one commissioned dollar, or dime, off of my daughter."

He also explains why he didn't attend Miley's 18th birthday party- "Because they were having it in a bar. It was wrong. It was for 21 year olds and up. Once again all those people, they all wanted me to fly out so that then when all the bad press came they could say, 'Daddy endorsed this stuff....' If I would have gone out there I would have been right in the middle of all this stuff that's going on right now with the bong."

Billy Ray also noted that "Hannah Montana" "destroyed my family..... I'd take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic."

Having made the trip overseas the previous evening, Jessica Alba was on-hand for the Orange British Academy Film Awards 2011 in London, England on Sunday (February 13).

Held at The Royal Opera House, the "Little Fockers" actress looked glamorous in bright blue as she mingled with fellow attendees ahead of the UK's BAFTA festivities.

The ceremony sees Jonathan Ross as host for the fifth year while being broadcast on BBC1.

Of the event, Deputy Bafta chairman David Parfitt was high on British films this year around, as he said, "British film has always punched above its weight in the film world. British film is always quite well represented in the Oscars as well as the Baftas."

"It's not that we have a particular bias. British film in general plays well around the world because it's very good."

ired of everybody else beating up on her, Britney Spears has decided to hit back - by beating herself up in her new video for her single Hold It Against Me.

Britney - new track to be release at the end of March
In a preview clip released today, the pop star is seen in a catfight with herself, with one Britney knocking the other to the ground with a single punch to the face. The full video is set to premiere in the US on MTV on Thursday but in the teaser clip you can see 29-year-old Britney wearing a sheer dress squaring up to her doppelganger and sending the double flying through the air.

Didn't Kylie Minogue do something similar back in '97 with her song Did It Again? The Britney track is the first single to be released from her new album Femme Fatale, which is out on March 29.

As well as saying that being in Castlebar made him miss Australia. ;D ;D ;D

Down star Marty Clarke admits last Saturday night's Allianz National Football League opener against Mayo made him yearn for the warmth of Australia.

Clarke returned from Melbourne 18 months ago having earned impressive reviews during his time with Collingwood.

He helped Down to a surprise run to the All-Ireland final last year, earning an All-Star in the process, but the winter months were dominated with speculation that he was keen to return Down Under.

And those rumours are sure to resurface after a dramatic media piece today, in which he blasted the warm-up and match fields at Castlebar's McHale Park, the Irish weather and the paltry crowd.

In an eye-opening Irish Daily Star column on Tuesday, he wrote, "As the rain pelted down and we entered a waterlogged back field to warm up in Castlebar, all thoughts began to zoom in on the job in hand.

"Be first to the ball. Simple football. Tackle with intensity. Don't let them settle. County football was back. Let's go. Up Down.

"Fast forward two hours and I heard the '[Do you miss] Australia' question. Suddenly I felt the cold pinch in the air. A bit of Melbourne sun would be nice.

"I gave away five free kicks in the tackle. Two resulted in Mayo points. They'd have been five commendable plays if I'd been out on the MCG. Castlebar was suddenly no MCG. In fact, I'd say it was one of the worst grounds I've ever played at - nothing but sand.

"Picking the ball up was a total nightmare. The ball simply didn't bounce. Once it hit the ground it stayed there. It was like playing on a beach. St Kilda beach!

"The PA system then announced a 'large' attendance, touching 6000, had just watched the game. Ten times that watched my first game of the 2009 season in Melbourne."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1337416/David-Epstein-Ivy-League-professor-charged-incest-relationship-daughter.html

A Columbia University professor accused of a three-year sexual relationship with his daughter was charged with incest yesterday.
Political science professor David Epstein, 46, allegedly bedded his 24-year-old daughter between 2006 and 2009.
Epstein, who specialises in American politics and voting rights, is said to have also exchanged twisted text messages with the girl during the consensual relationship.
University spokesman Robert Hornsby said that Epstein 'is now on administrative leave and will not be teaching students'.
The well-liked professor, who has taught at Harvard and Stanford, was married to another lecturer at the Ivy League institution, Sharyn O'Halloran, but the pair recently divorced.
'We ask that everyone remember that he is innocent until proven otherwise and that these allegations are nothing more than allegations,' said Epstein's defence lawyer Matthew Galluzzo.

Epstein, who teaches political science at Ivy League institute Columbia University, allegedly exchanged twisted text messages with the girl during the consensual relationship
Epstein faces up to four years behind bars if convicted.
It is yet another scandal for Columbia University after five of its students were arrested last week for running a drug-dealing ring on campus.
The men, who sold LSD-laced sweets and cocaine, claimed that they needed to do it to pay for tuition fees.
