I don't think the coverage Clifford gets at times is good for him at all.

Stage was set was meant to be his final tonight however for whatever reason he fired blanks. Was a bit like Brazilian Ronaldo in the World cup final in 1998.

He's trending on Twitter at the minute and even after that match all you'll find is effusive praise. It's mental.
It isn't healthy, for him or the press. God help him when he hits a long poor run of form.

That scoreline didn't do NUIG justice, worthy winners. Don't think Murray, Mulcahy, Burke or Eoghan Kelly who were 4 of the starting back 6 are on the Galway panel?

What age is Heneghan? Can't recall him playing against Galway u20's in recent year unless he was injured, he changed the game and deserved his MOM.
He was u20 in 2019 but Cunningham brought him on as a sub in the Senior game v Leitrim making him ineligible for the 20s.
Injuries (incl Cruciate I think) put him out of action after that. Started the 2 NFL and 2 FBD games this year.

He was very impressive. And spoke excellently after the game.

Cathal alongside Tommy Conroy was the stand out forward on the NUIG freshers winning team two years ago they scored 2-7 between them in the final.

Cathal Heneghan doesn't seem to have the best luck with injuries as he went off injured after 20 minutes in the Intermediate final in Croke Park against Moy Tír Na nÓg in 2018. His younger brother Darragh a starter for Roscommon U20s who reached the All-Ireland final was unable to play for NUIG due to injury.

Well done to NUIG the better side throughout and i don't think the three margin was a fair reflection to how that game played out. Once Clifford was bottled up UL had no one else to step up.

Freshers final was live on YouTube tonight.

DCU 6-9 UCC 2-13 the result. Three 2nd half goals in a matter of minutes was key.

Other than Kildare's Shea Ryan and Powter from Cork City it's a Sligo to Kerry west coast selection (Heneghan close enough).

Yeah he was named Midfield the Hurling team of the year too. Some going.

He only played in 2nd tier hurling too, was the only person on the Hurling team outside the top-tier Fitzgibbon Cup.
