Quote from: GTP on October 30, 2024, 09:33:19 AMCongratulations Newbridge. Glen didn't look anywhere near dominant this year and you took them out when the chance game along and it mattered most.
Out of curiosity who beat the under 16B team in the final mentioned and who played and won in the A final?
Glenullin beat us in the B final as to A final I am nearly sure it was Magherafelt who beat Lavey in that final

It'd be interesting to see who has won the U14, U16 and U17/18 underage championship titles in Derry this past 30 years.

I'd say Magherafelt would be up there with a huge majority of them?

I would say Ballinderry & Bellaghy would have more than Magherafelt

surely an announcement soon? a lot of counties meeting to begin s&c.

I don't know what way the Derry GAA website is run but this is the sort of archive of achievement you would think it possible to build. They could try and remove duplicates from some league tables as well as rogue results from postponements.

Paddy Bradley - "I haven't spoken to anyone regarding the Derry job."

Ronan Devlin "Me? No."

"I jumped into the car last night and I had loads of text messages... this is about 15 minutes after Cargin training, and I got a message from one of the fellas, he told me the message, that 'Ronan Devlin told the Cargin men tonight that he was taking the Derry job'.

"Now, 15 minutes before that I had a good chat with the boys about this game [in the Ulster club SFC] – there was no mention of Derry. And there was no mention of Derry for a reason; because it's nothing to do with me.

"Categorically, nothing. I've no idea where it came from."

At this stage with all the club championships over and moving into Ulster club, we were expecting an announcement on the manager. Conclusion that it must be one of the club managers still involved. Lacey still fav?
If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?

The Derry players excluding glen and Newbridge lads trained last week. Took it upon themselves, McKaigue took the session.

Assuming that is personal choice of those few deciding not to commit?

Players from 4 clubs are still involved in club action. Ballinderry, Slaughtneil, Glen, Newbridge.

Aye, mid to late October is the time to be doing the managerless sessions after most of the players been hard at it since last year / Jan. And where did this training take place without a squad in place and minus a few clubs?
