Down ladies ahead in Div 2 final at half time, 2-5 to 0-7.
Live on TG4.

Edit: great win by the Mourne ladies by 7 points. Fantastic second half.

Didn't think Morzine was too bad for apres ski - it was definately as lively as Livigno this year - thought the Italian resort was v quiet.  Snow was great though, but the vast area of Morzine beats it hands down.  The quality of the lift stations, rental gear, resort shops, fashion on the slopes etc was far superior in France to Italy.  I'll prob return to Morzine next year.

Val d'Isere had brilliant apres ski but expensive (linked with Tignes that thewobbler referred to).  Chamonix was great too but some people may find it crap cause you need to take the bus to the lifts.  Brilliant skiing though.  Apparently Les Deux Alpes in France is great for apres.  In Austria I've heard nothing but first class reports about apres ski in St Anton.  Dear though.

See you there Tommy - heading for a hen party but think we're for Toffs.  Velvet Rooms is good but don't allow hens or stags if you have all the gear on (have been there for two previous hen parties).  If you see Little Bo Peep and about fifteen sheep on the streets, that's us.

To make matters worse, I'm off to Puerto Banus for another hen party tomorrow, and coming home a day earlier than everyone else for the Sligo do.

My home club is on their second big draw - the first one was back in 1998 and was £100 a ticket.  Top prize was £21k and my brother-in-law won it.

That was to develop their clubrooms, and substantial grand funding was received.

This time they're developing the pitch and have been turned down for lottery funding.  Not sure if there is any Sports Council money coming through.  They decided to run a £200 a ticket draw, first prize £100,000.  A target of 1,000 tickets was set but demand exceeded that, and I think there may be approx 1,300 tickets out there now (Norf correct me if I'm wrong).  The betting people see the odds as very good - there's a renowned Orange Order supporter in the draw for that reason!

The standing order scheme makes it more manageable and attractive - I pay £20 per month.  There's a monthly draw as well - top prize £1k or something.  But the big attraction is the top money.

(the club is at the bottom of the bottom division in Tyrone - a rural club with no recent success on the pitch)

Now in terms of trying to raise £4m for a county development...get back to me in about five years.

QuoteAnyone been in the restaurant of the new Fitzwilliam Hotel yet?  If so, any good?

That's where I'm staying balladmaker - booked the restaurant for the friday night as we'll only be arriving then so looking forward to it.

My sis and her husband loved the restaurant but it was very quiet - it was midweek though.  They thought it was pretty reasonable for a nice meal.

Hope you got a good rate Declan, just got our corporate rate through today so if you're paying more than £130 a night bed and breakfast, let me know.

I've a car parking space in the Europa Hotel car park, I'll sublet it for the weekend  :P

Am actually finding it a bit of a pain. Texting is weird, lots of scope for mis-spelling. Can't fwd texts, can't send pics. Crashed a couple of times on me too. Handy for email though, that's the big plus side. Oh and could watch iplayer up in my bedroom when wireless decided it wanted to reach up to the top floor of the house.

We had a banner made up of that jump for a Club Tyrone event - it was the first to sell.  Amazing.

Should stick him in nets, he'd catch a few points over the bar.

Balladmaker - panto, Ulster Orchestra kids events, The Wiggles (or it's early 2000s alternative), Postman Pat show, all those kids things that used to come to the Waterfront before the Odyssey stole them.
