The future is bright for both those two clubs. Serious talent on both sides

Anymore word on the appointment of a senior hurling manager?

The Paudie Shivers and Davy Fitz announcement has been put on hold.

With Micheál Donoghue stepping down Davy might want a wee look at that one first before committing.

Any views on the games this week? Surely one group in senior must require all teams to go full steam from day one.
I was hoping there may be a live feed set up for some of them to watch from afar but it doesn't seem so.
Here's hoping the latter stages get some live coverage.

Yeah it always seemed more likely that Davy would wait and see what's happening with Dublin, as I assume MOD will be back to Galway.
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Fitzgerald to be ratified as Antrim manager tomorrow, according to Cahair O'Kane

Well, it will be eventful I think we can count on that! I think it shows ambition from the County, Davy could give the squad that little bit extra, maybe claim a few big victories in one season - you never know where that could take us.

I'd like to see what it's like after a year or two.

Need a long term plan.

We've been hearing that for 30 years and we know where it has taken us.

It's Tony Shivers doing his mate a favour, without that connection (and I assume Davys lack of offers elsewhere) this doesent happen.

This appointment will raise the profile of the game in the county. I'd say the highest profile manager currently in the game at present also. Drilling into the panel at first session that they'll win Liam in next few years lmao... Good luck to him and really hope it works out. I'd assume everyone will want to buy in now considering this massive appointment.

Duine Inteacht Eile

A good appointment for us. He always seems to get a kick out of teams though it has a short lifespan and doesn't end on good terms.
I don't mean to be negative on this because it is a good story and it does raise the profile a bit but the money.....
Investing huge amounts of money does show that Antrim are serious but I can't help thinking we are serious about sticking plasters. I feel our underage teams are being neglected and are going backwards. For me, that's where the major cash injection and investment is required to improve us rather than trying to motivate a senior team who have probably hit the glass ceiling if we're honest.
Or, at least, try to find a bit of balance.

Again, it's a good appointment.
