Just got my tickets for Ballyshannon. Can anyone confirm throw-in time as tickets have a 2pm start. Thanks

The majority of Clones parish is in Fermanagh. There is part of Clones parish that four different clubs draw from Clones, Aghadrumsee, Currin and Newtownbutler . An odd dispute arises from time to time over different players but it works both ways, a few years ago a lad that played for Aghadrumsee but came from an area that Currin in Monaghan would claim ended up on the Fermanagh minor team.
In reply to an earlier question there are now 29 clubs in Monaghan ever since the Ferghal o'Hanlons disbanded.

How many club does Monaghan have?

If they can win an Ulster final you'd have to fancy them to finally win a quarter final. When was the last time Monaghan won a championship game in Croke Park?
2014 v Kildare

Clones play on St. Tiernachs park.

I suppose the only way of stopping these type of appeals is to have the possibility of having the length of suspension extended in the event of the appeal being unsuccessful. But given the system that exists you cant blame the Donegal board as it is a shot to nothing.

I think Fermanagh will find this game a lot tougher than they imagine. Donegal might not have the youth and energy of 3 or 4 years ago but they still have a very well oiled system which if you remember last year beat Tyrone with a bit to spare. In their own back yard they are still a formidable side with some new young lads coming through from U21s. I think that they had no interest in doing well in the national league as they didn't want the extra matches against Dublin and Kerry.
I think we are seeing more and more this year that the teams who have been playing this brand of defensive football were they suck you in and then break at pace is beating teams who would normally put up a decent showing. Donegal have been at this since McGuinness's days and so they are much further down the line at it than Fermanagh are. I think Fermanagh v Cavan would be a much more close affair but Donegal will have too many scoring threats who are used to beating a defensive system.

I would imagine with the miles they have on the clock they were happy to lie in the long grass waiting for June & July to come along but should they lose they might even prefer a run in the qualifiers as a semi final v Monaghan and a final v Tyrone will be tough matches before an AI quarterfinal.
Hadn't realised that Tyrone had already qualified for ulster final Fuzzman

Just to let anybody travelling from Armagh know. The Clones-Cavan road has been closed all day Saturday due to a bomb scare. If travelling through Monaghan probably best to check or go via Cootehill.

Has this game been moved? Was supposed to be in Castleblaney.
Yes game was moved due to the large number
of Mayo season ticket holders. The Donegal game has now been fixed for 'blaney.

Ah lads let's not start this crap again. Clones is our nominated county ground.while I have nothing against blaney the design of the new stand is not great as it is set so far back from the pitch that you feel that you might as well be in doohamlet. Roscommons ploy of bringing us to kilotoom last week seems to have had the desired effect as I see that this week the new pitch for the Hyde was given the go-ahead. Believe it or not armaghniac clones does suit some of us.

There's so way of using public transport to get to Clones from Dublin and back on Saturday is there?
If you get bus from Dublin to Monaghan {Derry or Letterkenny] there are connections to Clones. Dont know times and am not sure if there is a return to Monaghan that late on a Saturday night but you should check out the Bus Eireann timetable or contact Monaghan bus depot on 047-82377

As far as i am aware Armagh were offered last years semi in either Clones or Omagh and they opted for Clones. Would have thought that the logical venue this year would be Breffni.

Monaghan people and manners in the same sentence. Something wrong there. Its like Armagh and teetotal, just wrong
Don't think we need a lecture in manners from the breffni bigots.

Did anyone see what Mc Manus got black card for. The ball was nowhere near where the incident took place. There were a few more obvious black card fouls.

Yes fitted ones are more expensive but i have found that the children tend to wear them. The boil and bite ones tend to be shoved down the socks and we had one child that had a dental injury while not wearing their gumsheild ,it cost the parents 1,200 euro to get fixed. I would rather spend the extra money on these than on the latest luminous boots. The football season for juvenile players tends to run during the summer months and i get a new one for my son at the beginning of the season.
