General discussion / Huge Roman Coin Find
July 08, 2010, 09:14:42 AM
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/10546960.stm

Unbelievable the 'treasure' that is being found, even crazier when in most cases the finds are only a matter of inches below the ground.  Near tempted to get a metal detector myself.  What kind of reward does the man and field owner get?

Does anybody have any good suggestions for anything that can be used to improve the grip on a hurl when playing in wet conditions? I have heard Rossen mentioned before, thats about it.

I'm sure that there is a thread started on this already, just couldn't see it myself.  What is the craic with these boys - how in the hell are they allowed to just get on with things as if they have done nothing?

General discussion / How much do you pay for Sky?
April 16, 2010, 10:39:50 AM
Just curious as to what kind of 'deals' people here have with Sky.  I used to have the full package a 2 years ago and was paying around £46 a month.  I rang them up to genuinely cancel my account and they were offering me my packagge for about £20 a month with a free Sky+ Box aswell.  I proceeded to cancel though.

I have moved into a new house since and for the past year have the basic Sky package for about £18 a month and have a Sky+ box.  I am looking to get HD but obviously I will receive limited channels due to my subscription, so I am going to ring them today and say that I am looking to cancel and feed them a story again.  I was just wondering what kind of good deals the ones here have got, if any?

Centre midfield: Zinedine Zidane (France)
Left midfield: Luis Figo (Portugal)
Striker: Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)
Striker: Ruud van Nistelrooy (Netherlands)
Striker: Thierry Henry (France)
Coach: Marcello Lippi (Italy)
Substitutes: Iker Casillas (Spain), Paolo Maldini (Italy) Sergio Ramos (Spain), Xavi Hernandez (Spain), Pavel Nedved (Czech Republic), Wayne Rooney (England), Fernando Torres (Spain).

I found his reason for Beckhams inclusion particularyl funny, as he mentioned he had good pace.

General discussion / 8GB Ipod Touch
December 08, 2009, 09:25:35 AM
I was thinking of buying the woman an iTouch for Christmas, and see an 8 GB one for £150.  Has anyone had experience with an 8 GB version?  I've been told that its pointless getting this version as the space is taken up pretty quickly, but usually I heard this from a boy who would be big into his music and has probably 4000 songs downloaded.  Anybody got any views?

Thanks.

He is a tube and this doesn't help his cause - what did he cost per goal, £2.36 million?

General discussion / Queries
August 07, 2008, 09:30:43 AM
Just looking advice on a few car related issues - does anyone know of the link to the 'adds for free' publication?

Also, I have recently taxed a car and have since bought another with no tax - can I switch my tax from my old car to the new one?  I am in the north.

Thanks in advance.

Thinking about heading to New York in November.  Anybody know of decent (& cheapish) places to stay?

Thanks!
