GAA Discussion / Month of the Club
December 04, 2017, 05:44:36 PM
Mayo have stated that the county team are going away in April, for a training camp. Does this signify the end of the month of the club! Will other counties follow suit? Should clubs just realise that their players are now no longer available to them? I have strong views on this but most Mayo supporters that I speak to seem to be of the opinion that clubs dont matter.

GAA Discussion / David Moran - Out for year

Sad News for a good young player

PostDateIconMonday, 04 April 2011 16:55 |

David Moran attended the Santry Clinic in Dublin this morning and has been given the terrible news that he has a torn cruciate. As a result David will be out for the rest of the season. David has worked extremely hard with the Kerry Panel this year and we send him our commiserations

Mayo / Club Rankings
October 28, 2010, 08:16:40 PM
Came across this ranking from the Mayo News in 2007, interesting to see the fortunes of some clubs since, particularly number 17.

Anyone want to hazard a guess at the current rankings

GAA Discussion / Income opportunity for Clubs
September 10, 2009, 07:32:29 PM
This looks like a good idea.

A chara,

Please find attached details for the Vodafone Support Your GAA Club programme that was sent to our Clubs yesterday afternoon.

As a "GAA Give Back partner" Vodafone have committed to donate 5% of customers mobile phone Pay Monthly bill or Top Up when a Vodafone Ireland customer nominates their GAA club of choice and the Club is registered for the programme.  This will be a terrific opportunity for our Clubs to raise funds.

We would encourage people that already have Vodafone Ireland mobile phones to log onto www.supportyourgaaclub.ie and nominate their Club.  There is no cost involved.  We would also encourage you to spread the word in your Club and County as the more members and supporters who nominate their Club, the more funds will be raised.

Those not using Vodafone Ireland may wish to consider switching so they can nominate their Club – details are also available on this website.  Please note Vodafone business customers are not able to participate in this programme.

Is Mise Le Meas,

Lisa Nic Lannchaidh / Lisa Clancy

Mayo will play Louth in the official opening of Garrymore GAA Clubs new facilities on Friday June 5 @ 8pm. This is a chance to see how Mayo are progressing before the Connacht Semi-Final with Leitrim / Roscommon. Mayo have pledged to play a very strong team on this occasion which will bear a very close resemblance to the Semi-Final Team. Louth already have a Leinster Championship win under their belts and the O'Byrne Cup Champions are hoping for a good run in this years Leinster Championship.

This seems like a very good concept, with all the media focus on the county scene the club is often ignored. Hope they do a good job on producing this programme and dont just stick with the established county star.

GAA Discussion / Mayo v Tyrone AI Minor Final
August 31, 2008, 04:30:41 PM
Well, Tyrone will be red hot favourites with the bookies. I think Mayo are improving with every game. Should be a great final
