Brilliant. Probably the best composer.
But there are some great names. John Barry was terrific. Someone else mentioned Dances with Wolves. He also did Out of Africa and Born Free. Combined with the terrific backdrops, it makes for special films.

James Horner is another one. Really like the score on Legends of the Fall. He also did Field of Dreams, Braveheart, Titanic and many more.

Loved that show and the music.
The remake wasn't anywhere near as good.

Don't know the name of the score but the scene in the shawshank redemption where Andy outs the music on while in the wardens office is class.
