Late to the party but finished The Walking Dead few weeks ago...

Started like a B movie and turned into a slick pacy gory show...

Few blanks in last couple of seasons but still a few loose ends to tie up

Started fear of walking dead as a in between fix, until the other spin offs come on

Quote from: clarshack on December 01, 2023, 12:06:31 AMBeen watching the Simpson's from the start with my youngest son recently and we are now on season 7. I don't really remember watching it past about season 10 back in the day so is that when it started to be not as good? How does a current episode compare to one of 20+ years ago?

Don't go beyond the end of season 9. Ever.

Simpson's have been awful probably for a  decade.  Caught glimpses of  the odd newish one, and from what I can see , it's  just  an album promotion for  some ditsy pop singer.  Or else it's  pushing some politically correct nonsense

Keep watching   gallsman , but you'll know when  to stop watching,  when you stop laughing

No, I'm telling you exactly when to stop as a self confessed Simpsons nerd. It noticeably starts going irreversibly downhill after season 9 and after season 12 is essentially completely unwatchable.

10 years? It's been awful since the turn of the century. What it was up to then is still the greatest TV show ever made.

Sorry I mean clarshack  to keep watching.

Aye now you say it , it probably is more than 10 years.  Feck me,  is that the time already? Nearly 2024?!  Christ the night....

I can't give up on a show once I start. Walking Dead was crap for a long time. Fear worse again. The Negan one was crap, but Darryl one was good.

In fairness I don't give up either, I really enjoyed Negan in the original, like I said have only watched (or started) Fear, but he was a complete Cnut but all the baddies needed to be..

These are my hour and half before bedtime shows, while she's upstairs..

Started watching the actual game show, Squid Games, decent

An Watcher

Anyone following that Survivor show on BBC?  Surprisingly very good although mightn't be everyone's cup of tea.  Only a few weeks left of it now

Enjoyed it. I got caught out twice with it though. Watched the first few episodes then realised it was only half the series then when the rest came out I watched them before realising you had to wait another while for the finale. Decent concept though. You'd need some luck to come through something like that with so many people and so many ways to get eliminated. I'm not usually a reality tv guy but liked this.

Enjoying Fargo season 5 so far. Jon Hamm, Juno Temple and Jennifer Jason Leigh main stars. Return to form (and Minnesota/North Dakota!) after an iffy season 4.

Season 2 still one of the best series of TV I've ever seen.

Have never watched this. Is it worth getting into?

Currently mid-way through Season 3 of Mr. Mercedes. I think it is a brilliant series.

Fargo is outstanding overall.

Each season is a separate story set in a different time period. They all have some loose, distant connection to the movie e.g. one of them has a character who got rich when he found the bag of ransom money Steve Buscemi's character buried in the snow. And like the movie they're mostly about average, everyday people who get in over their heads when they get get involved in some scheme or with criminals. There's usually a diligent, clever but underestimated cop too.

Definitely recommend it, with the exception of Season 4.

Watched the first two seasons of Mr Mercedes. First was brilliant. Second lost me a bit with the whole committing-evil-while-in-a-coma thing! Don't think I watched the third. Gleason is always fantastic though.
