Hardly surprising Vale are going well 50percent of the time...

I didn't find tonight's result a surprise, Faughanvale have been an inform team all season. Finished 2nd in the league (Lavey was only defeat).

Yeah exactly, tough championship group but got the job done with a match to spare like everyone else

Just hearing that Drumsurn won by 7 or so and a Foreglen player struck the ref!

Doire23

Not surprised to see the Vale or Drumsurn winning - two high level intermediate outfits. Drumsurn have some serious heartache the last few years too.
Eoghan Rua put in a serious shift today with 14 men from less than 10 mins in (and at a stage 13 men after a black card). Would have been a huge result if they'd hung on. Some of the Banagher score-taking was exceptional and big Mark Lynch coming on to do what he does.

OakLeaf

Should be an interesting last 4 at Intermediate. The Vale are a good side. Drumsurn are as well but consistency is an issue. Same for Banagher.

Video doing the rounds now of the aftermath, disgusting

The Trap

That deserves serious punishment. They were well beaten so it was hardly the refs fault.

Heard that Cassidy went into the ref after Bellagy game and an umpire sorted him out?

Biggest injustice was against Lavey who got a black card handed out to them 5mins after Glen escaped one for a pull down on a man going through on goal.

Lavey were very good and deserved a draw but when needed Glen had players to get them over the line. Emmett Bradley was excellent. What was wrong with McFaul?

Newbridge were good in spells but somehow managed to draw the game before pulling away in ET. Conor Doherty had a big second half and they have a couple of other players who could make the step up to county.

Wide open. Make Faughanvale and Ballinderry slight favourites for each game.

Drumsurn 1-2 Vale 0-1 point half time, as pathetic a half of football you'll ever see with Vale only scoring with a tap over free for the last kick of the half. No real breeze and no rain

The other semi final was a very good game of football. Both sides going for it and could have went either way

The first one ended up a great match in the 2nd half so I spoke too soon, looks set for a good final if Vale can perform for 60 minutes instead of just the second half as they have done so far in the knockouts

Derry Junior champions going to be very weak in 2025 with 4 teams going up?

Wouldn't traditionally be the stron gest at this level.

Would the split you have now not make more sense?

Or have 4 tiers?

Doubt the junior teams are too worried about anything beyond Derry tbh. Be happy enough to be playing championship games against teams at their level and not intermediate teams. Most will start the season thinking they've a decent chance of winning which is good. Same for intermediate and senior
