Flanagan's Apple is probably your best bet for a session on a Wednesday night. It helps that it's on Mathew Street. Directions? It's bleedin' Mathew Street!

Flanagans on Matthew Street is a good shout, you could try pogues on Seal Street as well, usually good for live music.  Wednesday isnt really the best night for it.  There are a few decent karaoke bars which are always a good laugh (the croc, woodies etc, even the grapes on Matthew Street).

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Coopers Kareoke bar beside Clayton Square is always heaving ,music pumping from it, no matter what day or time! Irish though, Pogues or Flannagans certainly would be your best bet. The band in Oneills on a sunday night aswell usually good.
