Any of you lads going to Madness 28th in the O2 ? Any pre gig warm up's on ? The Bionic Rats played in the Foggy Dew before The Specials and were brilliant . Something along those lines would go down a treat .

General discussion / Break in
February 27, 2009, 06:55:51 AM
Some bastard got into our house the other night and got the keys to the wife's car and away , we slept through the whole thing and only discovered it the following morning , The car is insured and it will turn up one way or the other so that will take care of itself , but it's the thought of some kn**ker in your house when your kids are asleep in their beds that is keeping me from sleeping . My youngest is 2 and doesn't know why the Gardai where in the house when he woke up yesterday morning but my little girl is 7 and she is terrified that "bad men" will come back and she won't go upstairs on her own now .
I know this thing is a common occurrence nowadays and was wondering if anyone has been through this recently and how did the kids get over it ?

Great news  8) hope they come to Ireland

Ska band confirms reunion plans

The band had a huge musical influence in the late 1970s
The Specials, whose records highlighted rising unemployment and social problems in Britain 30 years ago, have confirmed they have reformed.

The Coventry ska outfit, whose hits include Ghost Town and Too Much Too Young, were hugely influential in the late 70s and early 80s.

Singer-songwriter Neville Staple said the group had recently been rehearsing.

Former lead singer Terry Hall is said to have rejoined the line up, after leaving because of a rift.

Speaking to BBC Radio 6 Music earlier this year, he said no tour dates had yet been confirmed.

"Well we're still trying to put dates together, but hopefully September or October time.

"We need to spend the summer rehearsing... I think it's taken me 30 years to realise we could do it really well."

Band members Terry Hall and Lynval Golding made surprise appearances at last year's Glastonbury Festival.

Sorry lads wrong board , how can I move it ?

General discussion / Mad Dog and the Nazi
January 15, 2008, 12:04:07 PM
Any of you see Johnny Adair and Nazi Nick last night on TV3 ? A group of  skins in Dresden have set up their own "C coy" with Adair as some sort of hero to them . Bizarre set up , half way through the show the Nazi is born again and goes on to marry a Tanzanian girl ,   I think they called Adair's new girlfriend "wild cat" a hard looking ticket .

General discussion / Live Albums

Had a flick through the new REM live album going home the other night and I have to say its not as good as I thought it would be . Not enough of the hits on it for my liking . I have seen them live a couple of times and they put on a good show , just don't think this live album does them justice .

What's peoples favorite live album ?

Mine would be "Rank " more or less the Queen is Dead live .
