Offaly U20s
Cian Johnson-Ferbane
Aidan Bracken-Ballycommon
Nathan Poland-Erin Rovers
Aaron Brazil-Shannonbridge (just out of minor(u17))

I remember posting that.
While not necessarily the star man, the last name there has won an U20 All Ireland earlier today.
One of a couple of players who played and started for the Offaly 20s for 3 consecutive years, straight outta minor.

Aye, Mickey Marley.

Had to google that.

Isn't it odd that very few clubs commemorate working class/labour figures. Always the catholic nationalist side.

Dozens of Pearses. One named after Connolly. And thats in Glasgow.

Are amy GAA clubs named after women who aren't St. Bridget?
St Rynagh's x2 in OY.

As Kieran Cunningham said on Twitter: "Pretty clear to me that Sean Cavanagh meant that north have to operate under UK restrictions. Maybe put away the pitchforks."

Duignan moaning about the injury time and refereeing

Must be very frustrating when a referee starts blowing for illegal handpasses in one game, considering the amount of them thrown in every game. The rule needs to be redefined

The main issue was that all bar perhaps one were perfectly legitimate handpasses. A fuckup on our own behalf because we couldn't deal with 2 high balls. Deservedly not in the final.

Very disappointed in the display from Offaly on Sunday. Down had huge tail wind in the first half but aside from a 10 min spell at the start of the second half when Down were reduced to 14 men Offaly showed very, very little. If the league table is an accurate reflection of where all teams are at there can't be much fight in either Louth or Leitrim.

Imagine how I feel😖!
Completely out of ideas. Just meh, I'm not writing about it because it'd only annoy me.

I think Paul Rouse has pretty much nailed it.

Politics and sport should be separate.

Has anyone else noticed that Alan Dillon used MacHale Park for a piece in one of his videos, while he also used the Mayo GAA crest in a graphic that I saw recently online?

I'm pretty sure that both would be a breach of some sort of GAA rules, no?

Dubs will be worried now. Their grip on Leinster may be at an end  :D
Ah we went easy on ye😜. We said that we'd let ye get ahead of DCU on the roll of honour😬. Seriously though, we were exceptionally poor compared to previous performances, while ye were also denied a blatant point. 1-13 to 11 by right, and deservedly so.

We're too busy training hard. No time for cakes, just the half a Kit-Kat of a Friday. There's silverware to be won. No doubt an open top bus parade will ensue. When we win.

to save you the drama, and you can take this to paddypower and earn from it.

ff a minimum of 50
fg a maximum of 42....will be savaged in rural seats.
independents will surprise again, 25+

sf about 18/19
labour may return with 7...lose a couple and gain elsewhere
aontu 1...peadar retains.
greens a max of 10.

big name casualties....eoghan murphy(nap...one of the two fgs in DBS will lose and kate o Connell could be more transfer friendly), Regina Doherty,  and in my own heartland, Charlie Tanagan is in trouble as FG might only take 1 of the 5 and the territorial make up of Laois/Offaly does not favour him.

on the gaa front, the new chairman of Louth, Peter Fitz could prove a surprise packet and return again as an independent and confound the pundits who are dismissing him.

and in case Seafoid is asking, the above prediction is neutral because no party in Ireland represent my politics, the governing PIS party in Poland is my currency. My vote will therefore be going to a GAA man and Offaly Indo John Leahy, a man with the balls to question the new plantation of Ireland.

Leahy, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

Ask any of the hurlers from the glory days what they think of him. It'd say a lot.

It'd be an ideal location for Apple, with the Orchard there and all....!

Provided the gobshites in Wicklow stay quiet.

So, what are the predictions seats-wise?

12. I reckon 13 inter-county football managers are getting paid at the moment – which is a relatively low figure.

Personally would have thought it was closer to at least double that.

How would Pat Spillane know this? Given the majority of club managers are getting paid these days (at least in Tyrone) i'd have assumed 90+% of county managers would be also

I reckon that the number of mangers not being paid in Offaly is definitely in single digits, across both codes. I'd nearly say that you could count them on one hand.
