May they rest in peace.  Terribly sad.

Disarray in the Derry camp (apparently) and Westmeath beaten by the wee county at the weekend.  Home advantage might swing it in WM's favour.

Derry fresh from destroying Tyrone, Dublin after beating the Cute Hoors in Kerry for the first time in 28yrs.  Please discuss.

General discussion / Influx of Newbie's

Is it just me, or have there been a heap of newbies recently join the board?  I'm not against it in the slightest, but the 2 on the Derry page have absolutely nothing to add to the discussion!  :-\  Any other local pages affected??

General discussion / LENT
January 27, 2009, 12:06:23 PM
Reading that other thread 'anybody else on here not drink?' or something close to that and thought maybe I'd try and give up the drink for lent - haven't tried it before.

When does Lent start?  Does anyone even 'do lent' anymore?  If so, what'll you try and give up?

Just did a quick google - its a month away yet.  Ash Wednesday is 25th February.  Gives me a month to think of something else  :D

General discussion / Evening Do Attire & Gift
November 27, 2008, 02:00:11 PM
Have an evening do to attend over the festive season. 20th Dec

2 questions, actually 3.

1.  Attire.  Shirt and Tie, smart casual or jeans and a tee shirt?
2.  Gift.  It will be money.  £50 between the 2 of us?
3.  If we dont attend, does the monetary value decrease?

Thanks guys and girles  ;)

General discussion / Irish News - Page 4
September 11, 2008, 10:41:07 AM
Clearly I'm bored, but I'm having a read through the Irish News here (read it from back to front) and noticed that on page 4, the report by John Manley has pen marks through it - it looks as if they are corrections.  Certain words are circled and letters have been scribbled out.  Clearly this was the draft.  Imagine if he made any notes along the side!!

Once again, clearly I'm bored.

GAA Discussion / Kilmacud 7's
September 10, 2008, 11:27:42 AM
Is this event still as big as it always was?  Remember being down at it in the late 90's, some wild days messing and a great place to catch up with ex school and university heads.  Never a great deal of football watched though.  Anyone going?

General discussion / Coal, turf or Peat Briquette??
August 13, 2008, 10:20:27 AM
Hard to beat a fire these evenings, especially with the price of oil at the minute.  Can't decide which is the best though.
There is a great wiff of the turf, but dont think it burns as hot as the coal does.  Sometimes I mix and match all 3, because I'm mad like that!

Any preference anyone?

General discussion / Teachers get it handy!
June 20, 2008, 08:49:07 AM
Went down to a friends house last night to watch the Euro game.  Himself and his missus are both teachers.  She finishes work this Wednesday, and he is finshed on Friday.  Seriously, what a life?  The entire summer off. Jammy hoors

General discussion / Computer Help
June 04, 2008, 07:54:50 PM
How would a man go about deleting websites that he may have accidentially logged into  ::)

Last thing I'd need is any family member catching a glimpse of them.  We all share the same computer in the house.

A big game for the 2 counties.  Anyone care to predict?  Will both team play down the encounter with the Championship just around the corner?
So many questions...
