What does it matter if the accuser's father emailed the Derry board? Surely if someone emailed my work with such an accusation they would be told wrong direction, contact the police.
Not really.
Do you think is all the responsibility a community sports organisation has?
Do you think that's what their members would want?
Do you think that what their sponsors would want?
Do you think that's what potential funding agencies would want?
Do you think that would be the best way to protect the game that you are there to nurture would be?
The matter will have to be fully investigated. Was the mail sent? Was it received? Who the did the recipient share it with? What they do next? These should not be difficult questions to answer.
Sponsorship and funding needs to go into domestic violence ... Nurturing your club and it's members also needs role models and lessons that no man \ woman has any right ever to lift their hand to someone ..
Genuinely think you are just being obtuse here.
Do you accept that Derry, if they received this warning, had a duty to act?

I was nearly surrounded by Derry fans every one of them shook hands with me on the way out. Good side will be hard to beat. Will come out of that group easily. Heartbreaking losing on penalties. Should never be a way to lose a game. Hopefully Jarleth will get rid of it next year.
I have to add...
The Armagh fans around me were great people....
The penalties..... a horrible way to suffer in defeat ......and I felt really sorry for them.....knowing if the shoe had of been on the other foot...
Also out the back of the Gerry Arthur and whilst trying to recover from defeat a few of the Armagh players stopped to take photos or exchange pleasantries with young Derry fans on their way to the bus...
Most notably Rian O'Neill and Soupy Campbell....and a few others I didn't recognise....

Has a formal complaint been made against RG to the police?
If not, is there an onus on the police to investigate anyway?
RG may have a case to answer, and I have zero sympathy for bullies and women beaters, but it would seem his managerial career is over. Has he a job outside of the GAA?

If this happened under stan or Kerr etc they'd be crucified in the press. It seems that Trap can get away with anything because he reminds everyone of the scatty old grandad with the funny accent
Well I know personally one of the players who was supposed to be a "no show" even was named in the team but his physio at his club phoned the FAI on Sunday...He has a niggling injury...Probably could have played but 6 weeks rest is advised by a professional physio to keep him right for next season and considering Stoke start back 2nd July was advised not to play!! It's Traps fault if the messages are not being relayed to him...
Not talking about this players case, but in general the whole thing seems so haphazard and unorganised, surely top priority from an FAI point of view would be knowing you had all your ducks in a row so to speak? Have contacted players, or at least make sure they know who to contact if they have to withdraw? I think the procedure is that the player's club physios and the Irish medical team have to liase on injuries, if not or any doubt and the player should be over here so the Irish team medics can make an assessment. Seems in the case of McCarthy the Irish medics don't accept the Wigan diagnosis but there was no firther reply from Wigan on the matter. It's a mess at the moment, not just for Ireland either by the sounds of it.
