Great development in the game in recent weeks where players lying down are been ignored and the most severe punishment is accruing to their team - conceding a goal.

The Newcastle fella last night (fell, had a look where ball was, lay on ground) and De Gea for United.

Others might think twice. When a case is serious it's very obvious.

He made a swift recovery when he realised it wasn't blew up. Love to see it. It was a sneaky tactic to kill the attack when Liverpool were on the brink of scoring and it didn't work.

What I liked was that when Liverpool saw the players down they put the ball swiftly out of play (in the back of the net) so that those players could receive any treatment they needed.

All well and good till someone does the same to Liverpool, and funnily enough it won't go down too well on the pitch

I was hoping the balloon thing would happen again in Liverpool's favour but it never did.

Eddie Howe said one of his players was dazed for 4 or 5 mins after.  In that case why didn't he get him off the pitch if he was showing signs of concussion.  Bad reflection on him and his medical staff.  Or, he could be talking bollix.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Yes, that made absolutely no sense.

Personally though, I thought the game should have been stopped. Assuming five seconds could make a difference, medically, of course.

Howe saying he was dazed for 4 or 5 mins afterwards...what were him and/or his medical team doing letting him back in the pitch?

GiveItToTheShooters

Damn all wrong with the lads on the floor, just like there was damn all wrong with De Gea a few weeks ago. Serves them right for trying to con the ref and stop liverpools attack and they rightly played on. Eddie Howe was talking shit, should've had them off the pitch if they had concussion but he didn't, cos they were fine. Nothing else to see here.

Would have been an interesting question for the interviewer to ask him - why didn't you take him off then?

Thiago out with a positive test. Hendo out as well but not Covid

Tough game today. City winning easily so need to stay in touch.
You'd wonder will there be any games on St Stephens Day (or Boxing Day for our UK posters 😜😂)
