Will it be U12 and U16 starting first with U14 and Minor running from July, like last year?
Or will it be back to U14 and Minor starting first, with U12 and U16 running from July?

The latter makes more sense if they ever finish off 2023 minors.

As county minors are u17 they dont disrupt club minors as much as when they were aligned. They would impact u16's as much as u18's.
Let club minors finish up to release players for Senior / reserve football.
Start date for Minors is maybe the biggest issue for underage football in the county at present.
Last year minors started in July and ended up clashing with Senior Championship and ran on until December.
The previous two years it started in March but was put on hold for the County Minor season to take place and ended up overlapping with U16s and still ended up being played into the autumn.
Both start dates created issues, maybe some sort of hybrid approach would be best. Start minors in March and aim to get league group phase played, and then put it on hold when the County season starts. At this point U16 season to begin and return to minors later. No straight forward solution to the Minor Problem.

In both those 2 previous years the club minors was u17 and aligned with county age groupings. Clubs are now back to u16 and u18 and so there is some overlap for both age groups with County u17's.
An additional complication may be the expansion of minor championship to a glorified league with a round robin.

I see the holiday period is from Friday 5th July - Friday 19th July. Although it is technically 2 weeks, the reality for a player or manager is that it is a 1 week window as training will have restarted the week of the 19th fixture.
Realistically it is only a 7-10 day window to allow holiday.
Surely an easy solution is to move the game on Friday 5th forward by a day or two and delay the 19th game to the following Monday 22 or even to the following weekend and do a double fixture.
I know it is only a few days either way but it would increase the holiday options for all players rather than having to stick rigidly to the 7/10 day period.
Maybe someone will explain the rationale behind the dates published and there maybe a perfectly good reason for it

Yeah I'd agree. But at the same time any manager annoyed at a player missing a league game for a holiday in the middle of July needs hounded out of a club.

Toby47, I agree with you if you are in Derry were there has been no relegation for the last few years. But in Tyrone, the league is competitive and a game at that stage in July is important for points and also for knockout championship preparation - none of this old group stage crap in Tyrone. Every game counts all throughout the year

Will Pomeroy be feeling sick this evening? Everyone knew that whoever came out of that Ulster 1st Round game in Omagh would likely go the distance.

100% Should have at least 2 gameweeks break.
