General discussion / Re: Dentists in Belfast
January 11, 2011, 11:26:12 PM
A fellow GAAboarder directed me to the thread so a hat tip to him.

I'm working in the Banama Republic these days but I was just quoted a horrendous price for a load of work getting down.  Having a look online, plenty appear to head North if getting a load of work down.

Does anyone know dentists in Belfast(or indeed anywhere between the border and Derry) which are open late on a Friday/open a Saturday as that would allow me to get the work down weekends I am up home.

I am registered to an NHS dentist in Derry but I am increasingly dubious about the quality of some of his work so I don't mind switch.  Plus, given the costs involved I won't mind getting a few quotes.

Pity the majority of your supporters are a bunch of soccer infested, chanting, booing morons who have brought their thuggish Brandywell mentality to our games.

Ah right enough, I have never heard that sort of behaviour at a game where a City side hasn't been involved...... ::)

Them boys from the City and their soccer :-[

Ridiculously poor contribution from Armagh to those two teams. Not a positive sign for the future  :(

Means nothing in the scheme of things. There's so many players that shine at Sigerson level who struggle to make the step up. 2 QUB midfielders from Armagh anyway and we've a good few at the Ranch as well.

Is der anyfing negative in Armagh?

not a bright future for da orchard county - trust me, i know what im talking about.  I'm a big GAA fan and take it a lot of GAA games

QuoteThe second surprise is that the IFA have not misplaced again that phone nr. of  Derry City FC.

Explain that one like a good man?

Long history of IFA ignoring Derry City players in favour of infinitely poorer players. Paddy McCourt being a prime example. Think its a long time since any Derry man at all was a regular for NI.

Maybe u should take off those steamy glasses and look beyond...

Brolly & O'Rourke certainly didn't spare McGeeney anyway and to be fair I think their analysis was spot on.

Love it when mercenaries like him get a pasting

Exactly boy

Can't disagree with that

Mercenaries!

Someone tell Tommy Lyons Armagh didn't win their last 2 games in the League. I know everyone makes mistakes but when your an analyst basing your opinion on a team's championship chances on inaccurate facts, there's something seriously wrong.

Pea Brain.

Stop making this a statto board - a mistake fair enough, but lets take it more seriously than that.

As it is said "Without gorwing Crops a man can't harvest in Winter, Summer or for his matchday sunday"

I think we all should think about this before criticising.

A man who criticises walks on "the other Bridge from me", Which Armagh man said that then lads?

As good as it would be for Derry to win a league title, I'm not sure it would be the best thing for this Derry team to progress in the championship.

How about you just catch yourself on Sir

Well done Doire!

Does anybody read the Irish Times? They do a piece on a Wednesday about a fictional Dublinbus driver who spends a lot of his time gambling, witha  particular fondness for the horses. Different sport I know but its a good read - the sort of standard the likes of Donny Doherty aspires to but miserably fails to achieve.

Really,

To me it is a waste of a column in the sports section.  Would be nice if they actually did a bit more original reporting, rather than lifting from the English broadsheet and filling it with tripe like the above.

Wasn't far from Mickey Moran and he was very pissed off with Colm Cavanagh late on in normal time.

Didn't realise it was McCullagh in particular but I heard Micky Moran cursing a couple of Poly players including threatening to "take him f**king off" at one stage!

Exiled - Were you fit to hear the fella that was pissed off his face and kept shoting "over the bar" and generally made a fool of himself?

The language on and off the field left a lot to be desired.  Whislt there was a lot at stake for both sides, banter was close to the bone at time.

The fella who was pissed was an eejit and was annoying all round him.

I think the only fair way to sort this out is to relegate Cork if they finsih level on points with another team. Or possibly they could decide on a minus figure for Cork to be allocated for each game conceded. Perhaps -10, a bit like the way a team not fulfilling a soccer match would be given a 3-0 defeat.

Fair enough I'd say.  Is there any previous, even in club football for the like for clubs that couldn't fufil?
