What happened to Setanta's deferred match tonight? It was supposed to be Donegal match but since it was moved looks like they're showing nothing.

Still no live coverage of any of Tyrone's league games which has been frustrating for a big fan restricted to home with a young child! I see Cork are being covered again this week! From memory that's this game, their game v Armagh and last week v Kerry all covered. Nice for some.
Tyrone vKildare and Tyrone v Westmeath , were both live on Setanta.

There are a lot of teams in the same boat, 16 games each week and only 7 rounds so it is impossible for every team to get a live match on TG4. The focus has to be on Division as that is where the big names and glamor ties which will attract an audience are.

New Years Day 19:15
Everyone knows what Hill 16 is but how many know the rich history and magic that occurs there on a matchday when the fans bring this dormant volcano in Dublin s Northside to life? Born into a changing Ireland in the early 1900s, Hill 16 was originally named Hill 60 after a battle in Gallipoli in Turkey in 1915 during WW1 that had a huge impact on Irish life. Over the years it has been jammed packed by fans of all counties and has been witness to so much Irish history in its various incarnations as a terrace. But one thing remains the same; the fans and their passion to support their team no better illustrated than by Dublin GAA fans. This documentary illustrates the rich history and unique connection Dublin GAA fans have with Hill 16 and how that bond began.

That is for tickle's Premier Sports.
They must lift the TG4 matches and put their own commentator on them - hence the reason they didn't know what they were showing until TG4 decided.

I've had no problem streaming the live games off the TG4 website this year.
You won't get the inter county games on TG4 if outside Ireland but you can get the club games.
Looks like if a man were to run it through an Irish proxy IP he should be grand then?

I watched both the Westmeath v Dublin and Kerry v Tyrone games straight from the TG4 website here in Manchester.
I'll prob watch the Derry game this weekend in the pub right enough
Really? It always tells me I'm in a region that can't view the games.
Yeah, quite surprised to be honest but had no problems this year thankfully.
I can't get tnag ar an internet here in Liverpool. I'll head to the bar so as Virgin have taken away my premier sports, Branson is a p***k.
Anyways how do u change the proxy?
Try this proxy extension from https://mediahint.com (https://mediahint.com) in Chrome (not Firefox for now). I haven't tried it yet with TG4 but it works for me with RTE player and also BBC player

Last meeting might have been only 4 1/2 months ago but this has little going for it. Kerry are sated and rightly so after AI win. Mayo will look silly if they try and pretend this matters. It doesn t.

Why is a goalkeeper often called a 'bádeoir' on TG4 (as opposed to a cúlbáire) does anyone know?
Is it Munster Irish - where a 'peil' is referred to as a 'caid'?
Correct on the 2nd point. Especially in Kerry anyway. Don't know about badoir though.
The Kerrys always refer to the goal as bad. I suspect in their Oul caid days you had to hit the ball into a boat?

Great spot drici. That was one of the first matches I saw in Croke Park. Noise of the crowd already inside as you approached Jones Road (still my favourite part of match day). Lifted over the turnstile. Flag in one hand, program in the other. Find your seat number on the old wooden seats. Watch the minor match with the atmosphere building the whole time. The Artane Boys band. Everyone craning their necks down to the corner of the Hogan and Canal End for what seemed like half an hour for the teams to come out. The sprint out the tunnel and the deafening tribal roar that accompanied it. The team photo. The breakaway from the team photo. The pucking and stretching. Lined up to meet the president. The parade behind the band. Waiting impatiently for the parade to reach your section. Everyone roaring just before they reached your section. Teams breaking away from the parade. Amhrán na bhFiann. Teams lining up in position and welcoming your man. Midfield hopping off each other and then pulling like mad once the ball was thrown in. The instant love of all this lunacy.

Yes. The B final with St Ciaran's is on at 2:00 so I would assume the A final will be shown also.
Are the schools games not on?
Think I saw that they are available on line
Don't know if anyone is watching this but Ballinrobe have just given away an absolutely horrific goal.
A St Ciaran's player took a shot that was from the moment he hit it looked as if it were drifting wide. It was drifting wide but it was also dropping short. Pretty much all of the Ballinrobe players switched off and assumed it was going wide ; one of the St Ciaran's players chased the effort and kept it in. He laid off the ball to another unmarked St Ciaran's player coming through who only had the keeper to beat. Horror show defending. Was around the 35 minute mark.
Scoreline was 1-5 to 0-7 before the goal and went to 1-5 to 1-7 after. Ballinrobe have got the last 3 scores to make it Ballinrobe 1-8 to St Ciaran 1-7 with 15 minutes left.
1-11 apiece at full-time. Goes to extra-time.
Some decent efforts from deadballs on both sides.
Very enjoyable match to watch, congrats to all involved with the Ballinrobe CS team, a great victory for my old alma mater!

St Brendans 0-10 St Peters 0-3 at HT in the Hogan Cup final.
Peters had a goal disallowed in the first minute, looked like a harsh decision to me.
St Brendans have been impressive - lots of good kick-passing and taken some fine scores.
Long way back for Peters but you never know with young lads.
Only catching the second half but Peters put themselves into a good position with ten left but couldn't capitalise on it. Some great scores and free taking by both sides though the ref has given some of the softest frees ever given in Croke Park, he must consider schools football non-contact.
St Brendans 0-18 St Peters 0-10 FT
St Peters did well to narrow the gap to 3 but the winning of the game for St Brendans was in the first half.
Some serious quality points from both sides.
That's a fourth Hogan Cup in a row for a Kerry side - will surely be amongst the favourites for the All-Ireland minor this year.

Would pubs that have Sky, be able to show these or how does it work??
Does it involve Firestick??
A smart tv with access to WiFi could show it. Smart tv would have YouTube app. Fire stick too but smart TVs , which most are these days, would do it.
Whether pubs use that option I don't know but I watched the club intermediate final on my big tv doing this and it was simple and a great job.

Did the TG4 links work for anyone at the weekend? I don't like to criticise TG4 as they do so much for the coverage of the GAA but it's so frustrating not to be able to get these links working in the North. I am fairly tecky minded so I have a good enough idea of what I am doing but the links just didn't appear to work.
In general this needs addressed for Northern fans.

Same as you, watched whole minor game. U20 cut out, then tried to watch via the TG4 website but the live coverage just wouldn't load at all.
When are the club games starting back on TG4?
Probably just as soon as the muck that passes for inter county football nowadays is finally wrapped up.
I believe it's the weekend of September 14/15 and RTE are now in the mix too. TG4 get to choose the top 2 games they want to show and RTE get 3rd and 4th pick. Ryle Nugent would be disgusted at what's going on.
Correction - from September 21/22.
September 22
Fermanagh SFC final live and both Limerick SHC semi-finals deferred
September 29
Antrim SHC final live and Dublin SFC game deferred
October 6
Limerick SHC final live and deferred game TBC
Another week, another camera covered in rain instead of using the stand. It's so amateur.
I think cleaning cameras is starting to be an issue, how many games does it keep reoccurring, they not look at people giving out about it online
Wipe the lens
WIPE THE LENS
WOULD YA WIPE THE f**king LENS FFS
ah tis over now

This is very similar to my post on the other thread. Are we actually the same person with two accounts?

Didn't see it lol... I don't know if this is a 7 point wind advantage, Tyrone abysmal
Disappointing that Derry v Galway isn't on TV this weekend! Was hoping to get to the game but not able to.
