Title: Every day carry
Post by: The Iceman on October 29, 2018, 11:25:51 AM
I worked in an off license and bars in my teens and always got used to carrying a bottle opener (corkscrew, beer bottle opener and small blade). In my later teens I always had a swiss army knife. I grew up in the countryside and was always footering at wee projects here and there and loved the versatility of the tool. I've progressed to a Leatherman and absolutely love it. When I was a younger man and hunted and kept dogs I always had bailer twine in my coats! You never knew when a loose dog needed caught (or so went the thinking!)
I don't wear a watch. If we were going out hiking I would bring a small backpack with a first aid kit and we have a first aid kit in the cars.
I have a small rigid wallet that only holds 10 cards and has a money clip. I got it because I was tired of a bulky wallet and this one is also RFID blocking.

Interested to see what others carry most of the time and why?

A big stick. (I speak softly.)

Iceman - can you give me details of the wallet? I hate a bulky wallet but can't seem to find a slim one.

You'll find similar ones on Amazon at cheaper prices. Fits easily in to front pocket, hold the cards you need and notes slide under the clip. I haven't carried coins since my teens they always went in to a jar in the kitchen for my Ma

Surely a condom is designed to ensure that there are not a lot of people.

There would be no point in having a subliminal message if I told everyone what it was.

I've always been a money clip guy in the USA, but it just does'nt work for me at home due to the size of the notes in the north.

only if away hiking  - carry a few extra things when away from the car or the house for an extended period of time. Have a north face back pack and I'd have a torch in there a small hatchet, first aid kit and some food and water.

I use a slim cigarette case as a wallet. Pig enough for cards and folded dollar bills. Found I couldn't use it for paper money in Ireland because Euro and Sterling notes are too big.
