Thought he died years ago. RIP

Might be thinking of Chris Penn.

Couple great Laois minor teams in the later 90s spearheaded by Beano McDonald I think there were a couple good underage games in those years as well. Always liked watching him play, that leg break was so unfortunate.

You could question a players drop back then, not currently. They had a rules official with them - with that level of oversight no need to get overly concerned with your opponents drop. But it was great TV!

Actually like Bradley

This is why I don't like Bradley

That's exactly why I do like him. Jiminez was outta line all day that day. Bradley handled it well.

Heartbreaking to watch tommy psyche himself out on 18 approach. You could see the nerves and the color draining from his face.

Quote from: David McKeown on June 20, 2025, 05:16:12 PMA black and white approach is unworkable as well. I think the system used in England and Wales represents the best system but it's not practicable in Northern Ireland.

David could you expand on that a little? Great responses by the way, thanks for the insights.

My American wife just told me that young Seamus Heaney was a heartthrob. I'll be in my room.

He can be a bit of a prima donna when things don't go his way

But he just dunked it for an eagle from over 150.

Quote from: marty34 on June 11, 2025, 08:22:03 PMTeenager (13) looking to get phone for first time.

What price per month contract would we be talking about?

Any good deals currently on market - just normal type phon for 'teenagery' stuff.

Hold off as long as you can, seriously. I don't know one parent who is glad they bought their young teen a phone when they did. It's inevitable that they will get one but it turns them into little feckin gremlins who really easily get sucked into the social media spin on how life is supposed to look.

If I had to I would add them to a family plan. Add all the necessary share location features etc...

Was it worth it?

Never heard of any of these cats until the shooting. Yes, we kill 'em in Nevada - and it would seem this would be an open and shut DP case.

Next 3 will give a good idea of the age demo and psychographics of the board, and whether we're populated by melancholy shoegazing miserabalists, or scuffy lads who liked to drink big durty pints of black porter in O'Donaghues, or even scruffier long haired denim clad air guitarists with repetitive wrist syndrome. Bring it on, Austin.

Shite,  I would have considered myself cultured, deep and philosophical- instead, I'm a shoegazing miserabalist!!  The only reason the hair is longish is to disguise from the blank area so long as I stay standing!!
And as for OCS, while it's not a hill I'd be willing to die on, it's a slightly inclined area I'd be willing to half-heartedly defend for maybe 4 songs, So low making it worthwhile!!

Go slow, I'm listenin

Rory not in with a chance next week on this week's showing in Canada. 9 over for the day, new driver all over the map. Looks thoroughly disinterested.

By all accounts Oakmount has rough as deep and sticky as has been seen before for a US open. If he doesn't figure out the fairway finder it's gonna be a quick trip for him.

Lowry well in contention in Canada this week, hopefully he gets over the line on one of these near misses. Saturday seems to be setting him back in recent weeks.
