Quote from: ottoman on January 29, 2024, 08:11:27 PMI use the Score Beo app for all GAA score updates. Its good as it gives you the line ups, who scored etc. Id try download that.
I will check that out. Thanks, Ottoman!

Quote from: burdizzo on January 28, 2024, 06:04:20 PMDown should be a cakewalk for Laois.

Yeah, I hope so. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to start looking at upcoming fixtures and saw Laois was paired up against Down. That's when I realized that things have really changed since I last followed Laois hurling back in 2019.

Do you have any ideas on following this match against Down? I used to follow matches on Twitter (without an account) but now Twitter/X requires an account to see any postings.

As far as following Sunday's match against Down, it looks like GAAGO will not be streaming it (no surprise, but they *will* be streaming the Down v. Kerry match on Feb. 10 -- what the hell!). I am hoping Midlands Radio will be covering the match. Westmeath is playing the day before, so no competition for air time, there. I can't remember. Does Midlands Radio cover Biffo matches?

Quote from: Laois Rising on January 23, 2024, 04:05:01 PMI heard it said by many that the demise in Laois hurling over the last couple of years can be attributed to Mossy Bruce disappearing off the scene. Now that you are back, I expect Laois' fortunes to take a turn again.

Good to have you back Bruce. Hopefully we will have some success to celebrate on the forum in 2024.

Haha!          Wait. Damn, now I feel guilty.

Quote from: redsetanta on January 22, 2024, 09:56:58 AMWelcome back Bruce.

Did you manage to get over to Durrow?
Thank you!

Well, early last year, we had the money all saved up to get back there -- finally. We bought a couple of travel books to help us start planning our trip when my wife's car made it clear it was ready to give up the ghost. So instead of a trip back there (probably several trips), we have a yellow Honda Fit in the driveway.  :'(

I just want to drop in to say Happy New Year to everyone! It's been one frikkin' insane year :o, here, as I am sure it has been back there. I've only been able to check the forum, here, a few times this last year. I hope all of you and your families are healthy and happy.

Here's to something resembling normalcy in 2021!

So can someone tell more about the circumstances of Enda Rowland's goal?

He played a short puck-out to Mullaney, who passed back to him, and he walloped it up the field from about the 21 yard line. He was obviously going for a point, but it dropped short. I suppose the Wexford goalie wasn't expecting it to go as far, and because it was so high, he may have got caught by the glare of those lights. Or maybe he had too long to think about it. Or perhaps he was aware Ross was ready to pounce on any slip. In any case, he dropped it and it trickled over the line! My young lad and his friend were hoarse from laughing at it!
Thanks, Burdizzo!

Great commentary on the match there, lads. Thanks!

I had to work during all but the last 10 minutes of the match (then listened in on Midlands Radio). Read the Twitter feeds for the prior part of the match. It looks like the lads played a respectable match--with lots of news lads--and against Wexford, no less!

So can someone tell more about the circumstances of Enda Rowland's goal?
