Fancy Fermanagh to beat Armagh on this one.

I wouldn't!  Armagh favourites imo.  Can't be as bad as they were against Down.

Can't they?!

Tell me about it. I thought that before the Down game

Cant see anyone in Armagh being overly confident now that their wings have been clipped.

Can anyone confirm that Sligo are definitely at home to Antrim? They said say on the radio and we did come out of the hat first.

Confirmed Seanie we were first out of the hat and I assume Antrim had a home qualifier so we get home advantage.  We have seen a lot of Antrim o er the years, if fully fit I would make us slight favorites
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

Louth will kill us without mercy.

Never heard of Longford going out in the first round of the qualifiers...

I have  :-[

2001 (Wickla), 2003 (Donegal), 2005 (Sligo), 2007 (Westmeath), 2008 (Laois).

I suppose it is nearly 10 years since we've had the minimum of championship games.

That's a tough game for Armagh...50/50 game for me TBH, Although the Armagh at home factor could swing it in Fermanagh's favour ;)

Our record in AG is ridiculously poor...

Would I be correct in saying that the winners of the A qualifier games play
Galway or Mayo, Kildare or Meath, Tyrone or Donegal and presumably Clare.

Whereas B winners will play,

Weatmeath or Offaly, Monaghan/cavan or Down, Tipp or Cork, and presumably Leitrim.

So A group could have three Division one teams to look forward to and B group most likely none, (assuming Monaghan account for Cavan).

What rocket  scientist in the GAA hierarchy came up with this.

This is typical of many 'solutions' in the GAA. We solve one problem but in doing so create another!

It's also evidence of why the hierarchy need to be very careful if/when a new championship format is introduced. The 'solution' would need to be very carefully thought through to ensure the law of unintended consequences does not arise!!

FermGael

Glad to have avoided the losers of Monaghan and Cavan if I am being honest.

Armagh is a fifty fifty game.
We have not got a great record at the Athletics grounds.  Would not be a happy hunting ground for Fermanagh.
A lot will depend on who we have back from injury and how Fermanagh have regrouped after the Monaghan game.

Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

Is there any announcement made of venues or what games are televised.

Armagh v Fermanagh, McGeeney v McGrath ... Fermanagh have to be favourites.
