Anyone who thinks all mainstream media in the US is to the left, is either a billionaire or very easily led.

And I consider myself right of centre.

I suspect we will see a big jump to the real left everywhere soon, when people realise that the stuff in their wallets and bank accounts is worthless.

You didn't get my point.

The Democrats are not left wing, by any international comparison.

Whats your definition of left wing?

Left wing relative to what?

Whats your benchmark? Stalin?

Left wing socially, or fiscally?

Lost of ways to define left and right wing, depending on what your sarting point is!

The basic theory of left wing politics is that all men/women are equal and Government should strive towards equality for all.

The opposite right wing would be a layered society, full of entitlement and in some places royalty.

Right wing is Darwinism while left wing is more social. Left wing on its own has failed everywhere due to, ironically, the Darwinist instincts of those in power.

Thus I see myself as slightly right of centre, endeavour has to be rewarded to some extent. But ideally there are some left wing politics that must be in place in any fair society imho. Health and Education easily accessible for all being the main two.

The Democrats are a right wing party, particularly the Clinton Democrats. Some Republicans are far beyond right wing, in a Fox News world of their own. The existence of Fox and extreme right wing nuts jobs does not move the centre from where it has always been.

But the US media is not left wing by any standards. Where are the daily calls for social equality? The €700bn bailout for Wall St. equalled all of the US currency in circulation only a few years previous.

And 'left wing' Obama is still printing money. This is a hidden tax on working and middle classes. Higher classes can usually make it back with the various bubbles that are inevitably inflated, such as the DOW Jones.

Look at the DOW versus the various QE events:

Clinton has not been in power for 15 years and Hillary is coming under serious pressure from the left

How would you classify the Current Democratic Party......the party of  Barak Obama ( aka Barry Soetero) and Elizabeth Warren?
