GAA Discussion / Re: NFL Division 1 2024

Rogers has had a very slow start to the year a few mistakes any time I've seen him play throw in the silly red card against Donegal

Should have waited a minute Brendan.

Wow. Won't be for lack of trying anyway. This team never gives up.

Still can't see them winning the league unless the injury list shortens

Aside from the costs its the bad look of the thing, filled once or twice a year, is there any county that actually needs their full capacity these days, Kerry for the odd league game? The crowds at the round Robin games last year were piss poor then its into croker anyway after that

Quote from: AustinPowers on February 28, 2024, 01:22:09 PMOut of interest, what do you recommend for  a new All Ireland anthem when  a United Ireland happens?

For me, it has to be Ghost Town by  The Specials
For me, and being mindful to be inclusive, A nation once again would be a good shout.

A Wolfe Tones tune? Themmuns wouldn't allow it.

And that's just Fine Gael
Who do you pick to take penalties if it gets that far  :o

By the rule book Molloy shouldn't have got a black card but by common sense it's something the black card should cover, he did his best to tackle the man not the ball to prevent a score

In fairness I think it turned into a bit of an orgy at the end, saw a video with a girl with what looked like spunk in her hair  ;)

Not sure how it got that far, any of the videos I seen they weren't even "ready to go" wprryingly
Derry / Re: Derry Club Football & Hurling original

Quote from: tbrick18 on February 18, 2024, 04:53:11 PMDerry were impressive last night, the attacking play was top drawer at stages with attacks in waves and 2 me  running off the shoulder.
That's the first time I've seen a change in style of play, last year we'd run to the corners and then play it back out and across until we got a shooter in a good position.  Last night was much more dynamic and our half back line was immense.
I thought Murray played well, not sure why he was taken  off but Toner did well when introduced too.
Gilmore was very good when he came on.
Mcfaul at an excellent first half.
Glass and Rogers on top for the entire game too.
Mckaigue is a liability.  The amount of needless fouls and the mouthing. He's a red card waiting to happen  and he's not the marker he was. I feel at full strength he's on the bench with mcevoy in there.
We are looking like we have a strong panel now with most positions covered, apart maybe from whb.

Scullion looked more comfortable last night also easing any doubts I had of him after the appearance against Tyrone, but Lynch was out warming up which is hopefully a sign he won't be out for very long

It helps when you see the money being spent so you know where it is going, even if a huge chunk is going to management etc, other than management payments there is great value in the membership at my club anyway
Quote from: Rossfan on February 12, 2024, 10:52:59 AMThe English Conservatives picked some females as leaders.
Not much progressive about them 3 tulips!

Meanwhile....I'll have no one to vote for in the next GE

Spoiling a vote is better craic anyway, can write whatever you like on it
