I'm not much of a boxing fan but it's great for Laois to have a world champion.
I know there's 4 or 5 different world champions (weird) but fair play all the same. He could make a nice few quid out of this.
Yeah, fair play to him, some achievement. I can't imagine we've had too many world champions in a professional sport from Laois.
Paddy Donovan of Portlaoise won the Men's 50+ World Handball Championship over in the US yesterday. Good 24 hours for Portlaoise
on the sporting field.
Fair play is right but how many champs is there at the same weight.....wby was it not televised...
Is this as big or comparable to Mcguigan back in the day?

Well done there to this lad who retained his belt at the weekend. Quite an achievement and great to hear he's making some big bucks out of it.
I just wish he hadn't signed with MTK.
