It's a load of bollocks really the European Tour have been playing tournaments out there for years and there's even a WGC event in China.

Yes these lads are just that extra bit greedy than everyone else but let's not pretend Golf is some bastion of moral authority. The PGA Tour and European tour could give a shit about the Arabs reputation they're missing out on the dollars and that's where they are coming from. There's very few decent tour players who haven't played an event somewhere human rights violations are rampant.

It'll be interesting to see where this whole thing goes it could change the game!

Is there not lots of golf, tennis and other sports played in the middle East? Add in football ownership and this year's World Cup being played there, all this LIV uproar seems very hypocritical and is more likely driven by US interests to protect their tour.

F1 is there, Fury and Joshua were going to fight there, Newcastle etc. have interests there as they are being thrown cash. Easier to tackle individual golfers than go after a team.

Agree. The PGA tour suits us as it is on in the evening. Perfect for a lazy Sunday evening. But I'm not tuning into watch Kevin Na, Yeah, Na, Yeah, Na or J.B. Everyone has gone home take 7 hours to play the John Deere Invitational, or the Farmer's Open or whatever. Golf badly needs revamped and the European tour especially. I often wonder why any company would sponsor anything on the European Tour.

Fair play to JT and Rory McIlroy for calling it out for what it is greed. Disappointed with Gmac and embarrassed for him talking shit about growing the game of golf. It would appear that the Masters will not allow them entry and the British Open likely to follow suit next year if not this. But looking down the list of those playing outside of DJ its not too impressive.
