Would love to see a bogey or 2 from Day to make it a competition down the stretch and see what Day is really made of.

Probably a bit harsh but it would be good entertainment wise. Rose in all kinds of trouble!!
Bit harsh alright! Though I know what you mean.
Would be delighted for Day, he's come close so many times.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Great to see Day win, well deserved

Great scenes at the end there. Delighted for Day, and Speith the new World number 1........

When Day and Spieth arrived on the final green they were announced to the crowd over the PA system, and they both ultimately had two shots to play. Is that normal?

Yeah standard practice nowadays, certainly on the PGA tour.

Had never noticed it, although I don't really watch all that much of the stuff. Seems very odd to me for some reason, like it's out of place or something.

People have little to be worried about.

Delighted for Jason Day - should spur him on to win a few more.

I know he was a big name but really you aren't one until you win a major and he won that won very well.

Up against the World Number 1 and the form player on the tour coming into the final round many would have crumbled but he pushed on and won with a bit of style. He is now up there with McIlroy/Spieth as one of the top players. All very young guys as well there will be some exciting Majors ahead!

I AM RAGING.

Captain's Day at my club last Saturday was won with 36 points (the course is playing hard).

I had 33 points standing on the 17th tee, and dinged the last two holes.

Lads looking for a bit of help.  I want to get back in to the golf and want to get a new set of game improvement irons as my current ones (from lidl) are dung.  There just seems to tons of options out there and I'm finding hard to make the right decision.  I have only played half a dozen times over the last few years and could shoot anything from 14 over to 24 over!  Don't mind paying on the expensive side if they are worth it but don't want to be paying a couple hundred pound extra for nothing other than a name.  Also would I be right in saying that you would get a better deal on clubs after the summer is over?  Thanks :)

Going to a place that does a golf swing analysis to set you up with proper sized clubs should be #1 priority. You could buy the best Game Improvement clubs out there but if they are not your size it is a waste, a fitting should take between 30-60 minutes.

I prefer the G series from Ping, miss hits tend to go straight and are forgiving. If money is no object look at the G30 sets but you could save some big money by getting a G25 or even G20 set that has never been used. My partner in the Monday night league we play in swears by the TaylorMade RSi1 set he picked up.

Take a look at this article:

Good man DH.   That's a good link.  Funnily enough I cam across another site that highly recommended the RSi 2 irons for game improvement.
