Amazing to see Tiger feeling the pressure. Tied with Zachary Johnson with a few to play, could end his winless streak! No wonder he's nervous, a win will be huge in terms of positive image equity, not to mention getting the monkey of being a cheatin hewer off his back

Me too, wanted johnson to win down the 18, then lept outta my seat when tiger sunk the putt ???

orangeman

Could this be the catalyst needed or is it just a minor win ?

heganboy

the win takes him from 52 in the world to 20...

Big Darren golf is a bit like mine. Guaranteed to play shite all year but can shoot one good round annually which keeps the handicap down.

Final symptom of being a complete bandwagoner.

You get to celebrate every victory in every sport but it costs you a fortune in replica gear.

I'd take it if it meant I'd never have the yips.

how can winning a tournament with only 18 players be worth so many ranking points?

heganboy

a lot of the stuff is time weighted based on time since last win...

Don't like Woods but it would be good to see him back challenging.

Imagine sitting down to watch the Masters on a Sunday night with him and Rory as the final pair going toe to toe.

World rankings are calculated against the position in the rankings of every player you beat in a tournament. Woods beat 8/9 of the top 20 at the weekend, hence the big lift. Put it another way - it's not winning a major that propelled Keegan Bradley up the rankings, it was beating most of the top 100 in an event that did it for him. Woods' uplift is the same thing on a smaller scale.
