Quote from: general_lee on November 28, 2024, 12:37:59 PMDraw a good result. CCV getting some flak for the og but I expect better positioning from the goalie. I'd like to see Valle and Bernardo get more game time at this level. Bit of a Sevconian vibe about the Brugge support so glad they got the goal disallowed.

Schmeichel had moved across to give an option to the previous man to be fair. Your centre half can't just play it back without looking and blame the keeper.

Agreed. The goalie could be injured or anything why the fook would you kick it back to your goal without looking. A draw was probably a fair result on the night anyway. Celtic doing well but can't really afford any slip ups. You would expect with 8 PTS to be higher up the table unfortunately the teams they have beaten have lost to everyone else they have played.

Enjoyed Cra on BBC. At times it looked very stylish and other times it looked like a cheap soap opera. Defo worth a watch, enough twists to keep you guessing and some great scenery around Donegal

I have read a few articles over the last few days absolutely hammering the band aid song for stereotyping Africa. Not quite the response Bob would have expected after the record has made millions over the years for charity. I guess they could crow bar in Ethiopia 84-86 instead of Africa as the lyrics but it might lose the rhythm  ;D

Quote from: From the Bunker on November 17, 2024, 06:34:45 PMCarsley is enjoying himself anyway.

Why wouldn't he?

40 caps for the Republic....

The lad is English, he couldn't get an international cap with England and settled for the republic due his granny or someone like that.

This. Didn't he take a sabbatical from Ireland to concentrate on club so hardly fully committed and the only actual thing I remember him doing in a green shirt is giving away the most pathetic penalty and costing us qualification to euro 2000. He then f#cked around over the Ireland job will be or won't he take it before leaving the fai high and dry ( although they are a bunch of f#cks too

Quote from: Rossfan on October 22, 2024, 06:53:44 PM🗳 A poll tracking voters' views on constitutional change reveals that support for the union has dropped below 50% for the first time.

The proportion of people who support Northern Ireland remaining in the UK has fallen by more than ten percentage points over the past decade and by almost five points since 2019, according to the same survey.

The figures published exclusively by The Irish News are contained in the Northern Ireland General Election Survey 2024, which shows support for Irish unity at 33.7%, an increase of more than five percentage points over the past five years.

Encouraging but "we" have a bit to go yet.

It's the Liverpool university poll which usually under estimates nationalism by quite a bit. Jon Tonge seems like a nice genuine guy but Shirlow is something else and his commentary is ridiculous and goes unchallenged ( all alliance voters are unionist etc etc). The day they have UI at 51 % in their poll there will probably already be northern TD's in the Dail.

Carsley stitched himself up with his idiotic comments this week that and his idiotic line up against Greece. Don't feel sorry for him as he played his part in fiddling around over the Ireland job

it's not though is it

Did you watch the first half?
you watched the first half and thought this is like watching Man city v Woking? Really?

Some stats: Greece with 83% possession so far, three shots on target to Ireland's none. 11 shots to two. Four corners to one in favour of the home side.

That's after 30 mins on the 42 live reporting so yeah a complete battering

We certainly could do with someone as good as Houghton these days. The midfield has been anonymous for nearly 10 years.
