4 games left to decide the destiny of the premier league title. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced it won't be decided on goal difference. Either ourselves or City will make stumble somewhere. Fingers crossed it's not tonite.

Rodgers recons they can catch City on goal difference :)

Some will laugh at those comments, but when I read them this morning I was genuinely buzzing. Rodgers, for a novice, has played an absolute blinder this season.

I wouldn't swap him for any other manager in the planet. And I've critisised him at times on here, but always been fully behind him.

Lads, there's no need for slagging a lad off on the 'i bet it's related to drinking' card. Fair enough comment on his performances on the field, but these are amateur players and are entitled to a bit of respect when it comes to commenting on what they do off the field.

Just curious if anyone has any sympathy for him?  The only shame to me is that the other sick b*****d didn't meet the same or a worse fate.

No sympathy at all. Poetic justice.

So, using that logic, you would have had no problem with hundreds of Irish men been executed for their convictions of murder down the years? Would that have been poetic justice?

Dixie, whats your irish nationalism mindset got to do with a 19year old innocent female brutally beaten, held captive, raped & buried alive. Her parents released the below statement where they are thankful that the killer rapist has been executed. That's good enough for me.

THE STATEMENT OF SUSIE AND STEVE NEIMAN

God blessed us with our precious daughter, Stephanie for 19 years. Stephanie loved children.

She worked in Vacation Bible School and always helped with our Church nativity scenes. She was the joy of our life. We are thankful this day has finally arrived and justice will finally be served.

I thought that Man City would be very short odds but its 5/6 City, 6/5 Liverpool which isn't far off 50:50. Liverpool's odds of 1/5 a week ago were way too short.

That 5/6 about City is a decent price. Win on Saturday evening & they will be 1/6 or 1/7

Two games to go & we've still got a squeak of a chance for the title. Who would have thought that last August!

Everton at Goodison will be tough for City. Although a lot of Evertonians on social media seem to be advocating their own side to get beat! Everton will be without Gareth Barry (on loan from City) as well as their two first choice centre backs, so the advantage is well & truly with City. I still think come 5:30 on Saturday evening Goodison will be lively, and the toffees will make it difficult for them.

As mentioned previously Aston Villa will be fighting like mad for a point. They got a draw at Anfield, its not beyond the realms of possibility that they could sneak a draw at the Etihad.

West Ham at the Etihad - Could former reds like Joe Cole, Stewart Downing & Andy Carroll do us a favour? Its been a funny season like that - Assaidi, Borini etc

Liverpool just have to get their heads right for their own matches. Hopefully Sturridge can get back to full fitness. I would be very confident that we will do for Newcastle at Anfield - Newcastle look like they are on the beach already, so that just leaves us with a tough looking Crystal Palace game. Win that & who knows.

Its City's to lose now.

Lucas is killing our fluidy and pressing. If ever there was a player unsuited to a system & style of play it's him. Needs hooked ASAP. He is dire.
Chelsea have frustrated the life out of us. Their back 4 have been outstanding though. Credit where it's due.
That aside roman abramovich has spent £750M on players, you'd expect a more open & expansive side at this stage
Finally, spare a thought for EC unique sitting with a hard on, biting his nails between now and 1555!

General discussion / Re: Soccer Jerseys

Soccer Triads was a big popular website about 5 years ago which I used to use & I know 4 or 5 other mates used to use it as well. Good quality jerseys for £20

Type into Google 'Soccer Triads Nike Letter'. Basically customs started intercepting shipments of their gear - forwarded it to Nike etc who in turn wrote to the recipient (who bought the jerseys) threatening court action!

Soccer Triads are a big outfit who sell under numerous alias, different websites etc. Just a word of warning if your thinking of buying off these sites.

Why anyone would want Roy as a number 2 is beyond me. He's nothing but trouble. Too big a personality to be a good No. 2
I hope it happens though, for entertainment value

I genuinely don't think he will "bring the bus" for a couple of reasons
1. Its a tiresome style of football that takes allot of players both mentally & physically. To successfully perform that way 3 times in 8 days is a massive ask. Getting enough players behind the ball, pressing the opposition, maintaining 100% concentration for the full 90minutes would not be good preparation for next Wednesday nights CL semi final.
2. A draw is meaningless for Chelsea. To have any slight chance of regaining the league they will need to win this one.

Obviously Mourinho's style is a cautious one. They will still be well organised at the back, with 2 holding midfielders sitting in front of the back 4. He will send his side out to frustrate Liverpool initially, take the sting out of the kop. But as the game progresses I expect to see the likes of Lampard, Willian, Ba, Salah et al push on for Goals.

Liverpool echo reporting that Daniel Sturridge is winning his race to be fit. That's massive for Liverpool.

£100M investment for an extra 8500 seats. That would seem high to me at first glance when a whole new 60,000 stadium would have cost say £350M.
What's the thoughts on here on that as regards return on investment? I'd guess it would pay for itself (including compound interest) within 10 years.

Good news surely for those on the season ticket waiting list. Apparently there are two seperate rows of corporate boxes, which will be very lucrative for the club. Naming rights for the stand (rumoured to be Garuda main stand) would obviously dramatically reduce that payback period as well.

Looking at those pictures it would seem like there would still be a possibility of expanding the Kop in the future.
To be honest I'm surprised they aren't doing it now and turn it into a stand like Dortmund have.

Not enough room to expand the Kop, it backs onto a busy road, and a run down 'high street' where shops, pubs, cafés exist. To go add a tier you need to go backwards eating into the area where the supporters congregate and queue on match days.
