How long did the Castletown/Slieve Bloom amalgamation last?

For which years did it exist?

Laois / Laois players in Dublin 2000s
March 30, 2019, 09:34:44 AM
Just looking for the players who played club football in Dublin and the years they were there.

I have a notion of some of them:

Colm Parkinson Portlaoise to Parnells 2009
Colm Parkinson Parnells to Portlaoise 2011

Colm Begley
MJ Tierney
Darren Rooney
John O'Loughlin

Anyone else?

edit: beginning to get a bit messy. I missed the "selection committees" so will go back and add them in. I was misled by some papers than seemed to indicate that the "trainer" was the precursor to the "manager". Will update with selection comms for the years so far.

as it is, I reckon everything back to the very late 70s and early 80s are ok, although I should have put in dates or months.

All

I was wondering could you help me? I'm looking for a full list of Laois managers, in both codes, for as far back as Laois managers go.

I'll use this post as a sticky and edit the post as additional info is posted.....and see what becomes of it. I know there's a lot of recency bias below, but please add what you can.

Laois / Past players for Laois
February 05, 2018, 12:47:43 PM
Lads

I'm doing up stats on Laois players, but need help. If anyone could give me the first names & clubs, I'd be grateful.

Just to note, that the papers might have mis-named them, so D Conroy might have been D Conway and McDonnell might have been McDonald.

Also, R Miller was better known as Bobby Miller, so "nicknames" might be in use.

Thanks.

To start - these are all football. I will give the player and the year I'm looking at. They might have been at the start or end of their careers, or even been one-hit wonders.

1951
J Phelan
G O'Rourke
T O'Connor (maybe O'Connell)

1952
