I'd never heard of  him , but just seen a news report.  Poor fella.  His deterioration  from his rugby days was  unbelievable.

What a  b******d of a disease.

Even if you've no interest in rugby league or sport in general, I'd this almost impossible to believe for anyone who hasn't spent the last 4 and a half years living under a rock.

The amount of publicity got for mnd through him and his friend Kevin sinfield was superb - two people definitely to be admired. His fight was very public- that disease is becoming more common and seems to be hitting a lot more former sports stars. I read not that long ago Marcus Stewart formerly of Ipswich is suffering from it too and then there was weir, fernando Ricksen, van der wrsitheusen (spelling) and our own anto finnegan. Horrible.

Im a rugby league and saint helens fan. Burrow was a thorn in our side for many a year and I hated him playing against us. He was a fantastic player, so brave.

I'd seen a news  report on the Scottish  rugby player  a while ago (Weir?), and Sinfield  sort of rings a bell as well, so must  have seen or heard  something about him along the way ,  but I honestly hadn't heard of  Burrow.

Rugby is a  sport I have absolutely no interest in  , so I suppose it's  not surprising I've not heard of some  of them
