Quote from: OakLeaf on July 10, 2025, 02:01:25 PMI think a good start would be Meenagh with Deets in the coaching staff, and then fill in with Meenagh's own men.

Why did Meenagh not continue when he took over from Gallagher? Done decent at the time.
It was because of work commitments

He is a teacher, not a profession I would associate with onerous work committments.....

https://news.sky.com/story/israeli-pm-nominates-donald-trump-for-nobel-peace-prize-as-gaza-ceasefire-talks-continue-13393846

Absolutely sickening.

If those who oversee the Nobel Peace Prize have any cop on they should come out and state that the nomination is not valid as it is comes from a suspected war criminal.

https://www.rte.ie/news/courts/2025/0704/1521925-inquest-farmer-death/

The individual in question passed away 1 day after his wedding.............

Body was embalmed before a post mortem could be done..........

The deceased lost 6 stone in weight in 5 months yet his partner did not notice........

The Ploughing Championship is due to be held on the farm of the deceased later this year.....fair to say fairly decent size farm.

Quote from: JoG2 on July 03, 2025, 11:44:54 PMFollowing on from my depressing post last night, weeks have passed since a few politicians in Westminster had the balls to stand up and call out this evil genocide. Two called it out on a Friday, and I remember saying to the wife, as a real tide, or so it felt was finally turning, (outside of public opinion)  I wonder how it'll all be this time next Friday?
Well, that was about 6 or 7 weeks ago, and the story now is Bob Vylan, Kneecap etc... It just shows how powerful these evil fu$kers are and how weak, morally corrupt, self serving and money hungry politicians are

The small matter of Iran helped change the news cycle as well.

Quote from: DaleCooper on July 03, 2025, 04:48:52 PMShould have been clearer. A purely state delivered project.

Southern Irish roads from the mid 90's

In fairness credit where it is due, some improvements between 1990 - 2010.

I think in the north for any public sector projects once you go over £30 - £40m that is where the Client side is usually out of their depth.

This is a PFI building so the trust / DoH are on the hook for millions for the next 20 odd years.

Even the building is practically empty the PFI operator will be fully entitled to charge for all maintenance / upkeep as if the building was fully operational.

A complete cluster f#@k.

General discussion / Re: It Must be Marching Season

There were a few individuals outside the High Court last week on the day of the A5 ruling and all dressed in their best suits.

All that was missing were the bowler hats and the sashes.

The GAA equivalent of Anglo Irish Bank.

In terms of the mercenaries (county players) they brought on board it must have been one big gravy train.

Quote from: Captain Scarlet on June 24, 2025, 01:10:18 PMThe tune is changing a bit now...he normally never says anything bad about Israel...

"I gotta get Israel to calm down now," Trump said as he left the White House, Reuters reports.

"Israel, as soon as we made the deal, they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I've never seen before, the biggest load that we've seen.

"We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the f**k they're doing."

The Israeli's have made a c#nt out of DT after him going around yesterday claiming all the credit for the ceasefire that's why he lost his sh#t.

Quote from: Hereiam on June 23, 2025, 01:33:26 PMThis is orange order politics at work

No doubt M O'N will make a statement rightly criticising the ruling, would imagine EPG will keep her powder dry though.

What a joke.

Last time I was out by Omagh I saw a lot of fencing up in fields on the Dromore Road so I had assumed today would just be a formality, obviously not.  I even think contractors had recruited staff and everything.
