I still love Home Alone at Xmas, along with a few others.  Looking forward to getting home tonight and getting a good detailed look at the tv guide!

Watched that Zach and Miri Make a Porno - average.

I concur.

Watched that Ghost Town with ricky Gervais last night.   Pish- avoid !

Slightly harsh, I preferred it to the numerous Gervais TV series and less than his stand up stuff - however, coming from me that's still not a ringing endorsement.

I haven't seen Eagle Eye mentioned in this thread, I have to say I enjoyed it.

Saying as it's christmas folks, what are your favourite movies at christmas time or favourite christmas movies?

From my own point of view you cant go wrong with The Polar Express, fantastic christmas movie!
National Lampoon's Christmas vacation, the best ever!

Superb show. Throw in the first two Home Alones and Die Hard and you are flying. Scrooged for dessert.

I liked it too but feel it could have been done alot better.

Watched a few films yesterday
In Bruges - a good show but dont think it lived up to the hype.
Kung Fu Panda - I liked it, the panda reminds me of me but how can a bird be his father?
Madagascar - loved it but I felt the quality dipped slighty in the second half and it became a little predictable.  The scenes at the start with the lion, giraffe, zebra and hippo went to the train station was brillant.
There will be blood - God it's hardwork, interesting viewing though I dont think I'll be rushing to put it on again.  No country for old men was the film of 2008 imo.

Watched the Da Vinci Code lat night. It was just alright, and I doubt I'd ever watch it again 6/10.

I am meant to head out the night, but have an ear infection. Must look to see what's on the box tonight.

That's an eclectic mix pints! Two bloody and violent movies and two kiddie flicks. I have seen my fill of christmas movies this year as the missus recorded just about every one that was on!
Started to watch The da Vinci Code last night but couldn't face it so watched i now pronounce you chuck and larry instead. It wasn't great but jennifer biel made it watchable.

You're right there, its definitely not easy viewing but I reckoned it was well worth the effort. Daniel Day Lewis gives another masterclass. Its also perhaps a very appropriate film considering everthing thats comes come to light in the last 12 months, with its basic lesson of how greed leads to destruction.

Is it a long film? When i hear the word epic I think a 3 hour bum number! Can't say I'm a fan of Kidman but I might give it a shot.

Pineapple Express - loved it
Step Brothers - decent
What happened in Vegas - more of a chick flick but worth the watch
Tropic Thunder - shit

Haven't seen What Happens In Vegas, am avoiding it, if it is anything like Just Married with Kutcher I am doing myself a favour, tripe.

Out of the other three I loved the first two and thought Tropic was decent enough, Tom Cruise saved it

Just back from the cinema, saw The Changeling, typical Eastwood I thought, very long winded, was a good story though, Jolie was good in it and I was glad to see JOhn Malkoich who I think is great. The woman said it was the best film she has seen in the last year or so, I thought it was ok, a bit depressing! More of a comedy man myself.

By the way Pints are you just wathing film after film to fill your time off?? Is that eight in the last two days??!

pintsofguinness

Nah ziggy, great idea for a film but ruined by too much sillyness.

What happens in vegas is better than just married - it's not a masterpiece but it's worth watching to pass a hour.
I like Kutcher.  Gets a lot of unfair criticism imo.

Aye, downloaded a few before I came home and just going through them - have righteous kill and dark knight to go.  (I also watched Mr Bean's holiday)
then i've to rewatch wild hogs, superbad and knocked up.
I've also got to watch seasons 2 and 3 of arrested development, seasons 3&4 of everybody loves raymond, the last two seasons of malcolm in the middle, a couple of the final episodes of that 70s show and shameless season 5.

I like my films and tv shows.
