Aidan O'Shea took a line-ball backwards there. Ref missed it.
Wasn't a line ball. It was a free

Last night AOS fairly dispossessed the Galway keeper as he tried to solo up the field
The ball hit the referee on the heel and was immediately retrieved by Mayo
The ref then gave a hop ball.
Was that the right decision?
I actually thought the ball ran loose and was about to be picked up by a Galway player.
Hmm....I was fuming because Mayo were in possession and the keeper was 30 yards from his own goal
I'll see if I can watch it back

Ya can talk about Mayo 2017, Galway 2001 etc till the cows come home. The simple fact of the matter is it's August. Galway don't do football after July anymore. To worried about racing and festivals and posing up and down shop street to be worried about football this time of year
Dear dear dear. Like saying Mayo don't do football after August anymore.

Nothing to do with respecting decisions.
How many watches would the ref need if he sin binned 3 or 4 lads in a short period?
He'll have no neutral linesmen or umpires and certainly no sideline official.
Quote from: Gael85 on March 03, 2018, 11:17:31 AMThat's outrageous. Surely deserves a boycott and a firm response from Jim Gavin. Jonny Cooper diving. Come on James seriously. He should be giving credit to Cooper and the Dublin medical team for the way they get him through some games after the serious injuries he receives. That magic spongue to the head treatment is such a medical breakthrough.Quote from: criostlinn on March 03, 2018, 07:01:35 AMQuote from: dublin7 on March 02, 2018, 05:53:58 PMQuote from: larryin89 on March 02, 2018, 02:46:37 PM
Fair enough but surely its not healthy to have such an obvious bad natured campaign against a player through media like what happened keegan two years ago,I dunno but I think it crossed the line .its one thing to be playing down your counties chances with a bit of beal bocht but to me that seemed extreme .
James Horan is in national spotlight too but for a smart guy he seems to go the other end of the scale altogether , absolutely mocked Galway in the run up to last couple of championship clashes .we know how they ended
Horgan had right go at Johnny Cooper on Eir a few weeks ago. Hmmm what's that pot, kettle, blaack
What he say about him
Called him out for his diving antics.

Doc challenge was much more deliberate than coc and for me that makes it the least acceptable of the two. Coc didn't raise his arm above the horizontal, to me he didn't go out of his way to strike the head of the corner-back. It's an off the ball challenge and a red but not worth the angst that it's causing so many haters.
Doc knew exactly what he was doing though, in his eyes it was payback and despite being the player who'll get off more likely in was definitely the more vindictive challenge.
Considering DOC more or less carried a Mayo U21 All Ireland it's amazing how he has never pushed on to be a top senior footballer. They just don't seem to be bringing any fresh blood into the team and come the summer it will be the same senior players they are relying on. I'd question the coaching in the county that they can't bring through any decent two footed forwards in years
Did he? not for his scoring anyway
V Leitrim 1-0 (a penalty)
V Roscommon 0-0
V Dublin 1-1
V Cork 1-0
Correct me if Im wrong but didnt he play in midfield for most of the championship?
I think if it was in the Dublin game he made a vital interception in his own goalmouth.
Hard to be racking up big scores if youre making incredible plays 130 yards away down the other end of the field.
He was named player of the U21 Championship for 2016

He was flat out excellent in every game he played
