He has many, many idiotic supporters and there were reports of more than a few who tried his bleach/disinfectant advice. Biden doesn't get serious stuff like that wrong. Trump's love in with Putin gave putin all the encouragement he needed to prepare for war and we're all paying for it now.

You can argue the toss all you like. Did he directly tell people to drink/ inject bleach. No. Did he stand up in front of cameras and discuss the possibility that it might be useful. They are both pretty serious "gaffs".

I think I'm just going to continue letting the spirit of bipartisan cooperation and respect wash over me as the feds and the states of Florida and the Carolinas together tackle the devastation of Ian, and forget about the Lizzo "crisis", Joe's embarrassing calling out of the late congresswoman, and Trump's Jedi Mind Trick declassification and anti-democracy notions.

we all can agree on the former but it must be getting obvious to you even what a disaster these 2 have been to the country and world .

There's degrees of disaster.

Whatever Biden's faults and mistakes, the man he replaced is far, far worse for the country and the overall world.

And if Trump had had a shred of decency and intelligence in him and had reacted appropriately and been a responsible, mature leader in 2020 with Covid and George Floyd and, indeed, the overall concept of democratic elections, he probably would have been re-elected.

Those two crises were gimmes for any president, but Trump didn't have it in him.

DeSantis has put the culture warrior bullshit aside this week and, so far, appears to be soberly handling and managing a seriously challenging set of circumstances for his state. It's not that hard when it comes down to it. Except for Trump.

This is Trump we're talking about here.

The man who never failed to bend the knee to Putin.

The man who spent two hours meeting him without aides in Finland, only to emerge and publicly accept Putin's "assurances" over the findings of the US intelligence community and senior Republicans, never mind Democrats.

The man who called Putin's invasion of Ukraine "genius" and "savvy".

But you go ahead and ignore the bleeding obvious and cling to some fantastical notion that Trump's "unpredictability" would have deterred Putin.

Trump's servile admiration of Putin is about the most predictable thing there is in US-Russian relations.

And I would add, had Trump got in again, NATO was on the chopping block (he was advised to cool those plans until he, presumably, got re-elected). That would really have had Putin cowering in the corner!
