disappointed with the loss last night. it says a lot for the fighting qualities, commitment and skill of the armagh boys that despite having so many players missing they could still put in a performance like that.

down played ok in patches but thought they were to loose in defence giving armagh forwards to much room. our half forward line was our most effective with mark poland and aiden carr again having good games. danny hughes done well despite getting no protection from a referee, who i  thought was really poor. need a big performance now in laois to avoid possible relegation.

this thread has been quiet recently. going for goals galore at bolton, watford, huddersfield and bristol rvs.

what an incentive to beat sunderland in the replay. a chance to get revenge for last weeks horror show in the derby.

brilliant result today against the all ireland champs. every player put in a decent shift. the crowd got behind the players and they responded with an unexpected win. the workrate and will to win was immense. they all played their part but i thought dan mccartan, dan gordan, ambrose and especially mark poland stood out. well done all.

is todays game all ticket for the stand?

the stand isnt all ticket but there was a statement from the county board saying admission to the stand cant be guaranteed after 1.30 due to large crowd expected. advice would be to go early if you want to be in the stand.

much needed win for down today. the lads showed plenty of character after all the criticsisms of the past few weeks. i know mayo had a man sent off early on but the match still needed to be won. hopefully this result will bring a bit of confidence for the next few games.

another good win against another top 5 side sets us up nicely for a massive week ahead. although it was backs to the wall in the 2nd half i thought we defended well and deserved the win. how nice would a win at analfield and a win over sunderland be for moyes as a 10th anniversary present. we can always dream...

The Old Firm's rather amusing habit of getting papped out of Europe before the schools go back mean that the SPL has significantly less Champions League places than the EPL, hence only the top two go into the CL, and not the top 4.

really poor on and off the field today. whats the big secret about team selection? can it not be named a couple of days before like every other county does. no team announcements over the tannoy today led to confusion for everybody trying to work out who was and wasnt playing. down pride themselves on their PR work, today wasnt their finest hour.
on the field, the less said the better. a very medicore kerry team were ther for the taking. only dan gordan stood out in a very disappointing display

gibson out of the squad for the czech rep game with a knee injury. reports are that he'll be out for 3/4 weeks.

another home draw and even though its against an in form sunderland, its one i think we can win. after all the doom and gloom, this season could yet finish on a high.
